one of the best videos of this bike on TH-cam. I like the speed, the wheel in the air several times. I think this bike can go at 160 at cruising speed and even easier at 140, and can sometimes go 180 at times. and I think it also manages to ride well in the sand. must be great for riding 80 or 100 on back roads, and dirt. I think is my favorite motorcycle. I would like to know how it has been in terms of reliability.

But twins make more torque.... it's because it's only 320lbs and makes 74hp....
@@joshbethel5800 no they don't... Singles produce more torque at lower revs, meaning higher acceleration

Man, you were moving on the dirt road sections... I own a Husky 701. These big singles can generate speed in such a casual way, it took some recalibration of my brain to deal with this when riding it off road, as my usual off road bike is a 300 XC two stroke. The power is not hard hitting or abrupt like a 450cc MX bike, it is "thick" relentless and always there. The engine has quite a bit of flywheel that is spun up by quite a lot of power and the bike is quite stable on smoother dirt two tracks and such. There are limits of course. Riding off road in the fast stuff ya gotta be careful as the pull is like a big rubber band and the dual counterbalanced engine has little vibration making the speed ito be deceptive - it is easy to be going faster than you realize. It cruises nice and effortlessly at 70 MPH / 115 KPH on the highway though. I love my 701!
That's a nice bike, however that was almost 5s, not 3,5 :P. Phone GPS is only 1hz so incredibly inaccurate for this kind of thing. You can however easily time the video though, and it's 5 seconds.

You started at 0:28 and got to 100 KMH at 0:33. I set the video the the highest quality and slowed it down frame by frame. But maybe your GPS app is more accurate than the speedometer and video matched up.

Hi there. I'm 5'7 and I'm absolutely happy with my 690, you get used to it in a few rides. Go for it!
Inseam is important! I have my arse slightly hanging off the side, 32 inch inseam, 5ft 9. When I get my 690, I’ll put a comfort low seat, that’ll get the seat height down to 895mm. Coming from a DR650, which is 880mm, and I’m comfortable with that:)

That's what mine did 120 mph I was not trying for top speed I was just keeping up with buddy on 890 I actually assumed there was maybe some more on the table but I never have singularly tried it myself other than that occasion....was no big deal at all.
I would like to see that you can drive freely with the 190km / h enduro version and you don't even know it's the maximum speed. I think it's not a problem for you to show it in the movie. I'm waiting for your video, not a comment

Yeah the 701 (690) will definitely feel like an upgrade from the old DRZ :)
I mean, its obvious 398cc vs 693cc 😄but with some little upgrades you can make DRZ feel quick, not fast, but quick
Could easily go to 3.0 if you lose weight and ask your mechanic to mod it for 0-60. Also start with a lot of throttle and anti-wheelie enabled

Very impressive! I wanted to know the top speed on mine and took it to 100mph (161) . Good to know there is another 20mph, in that case, cruising at 80mph is 2/3 revs, which is reassuring. Is the gearing standard? Thanks

Met a guy a few days ago on it while riding. With an aftermarket exhaust it pushes so much pressure at idle its hilarious. Guy would blip the throttle and the wheel was already lifting off. Insane machine. I thought my 2 stroke kmx was fast lmao.

Przyspieszenie mierzyła sprawdzona aplikacja, przy jakości 4k na końcu można dojrzeć pomiar. Kilka prób z wynikiem zbliżonym, poza tym producent podaje właśnie takie dane. Prędkość maksymalna według książki też się potwierdziła co pokazałem w innym filmiku😀

nice, I have taken mine to around 170, but then it starts losing stability, so I backed off. Good to know it can go over 180 though.
Same with mine, after 160kph it get's pretty unstable. At 3:10 in the video it looks too as it would be getting unstable, thought that's only an issue with my bike though. I've also driven it >190kph with a strong grip on the handlebars, but felt kinda sketchy to me. Be careful!
in the Paper it runs 200kph in real only 175 kph i am angry about that
@@DaniEl-dz2ds To be honest, I wouldn’t want to run the bike at 200, too light, besides the fun is in the handling, the twisties, and that you can enjoy at any speed
@@oldman774 yes nobody needs top speed, but the lack of top speed is a sign of a lack of horsepower
@@DaniEl-dz2ds Not sure I agree with that, it is a single cylinder, how high can it rev? Up to 100mph is has more than enough horsepower and rev capacity to accelerate at pace. Even the Ducati scrambler 800’s have less torque, the Triumph trident has similar power. It isn’t a 1000cc.
