    Absolutely fantastic video, Lee. Brilliant information. I'm 100% going to use this system when I'm riding. Keep the videos coming they will definitely help improve people's riding. Have you thought about becoming a instructor. Teaching new riders could give you that sense of belonging to something again after feeling lost. Your calm nature and knowledge would be a perfect combination for a instructor

    "As time goes on, what you notice is, you actually get quicker" So true, slow is smooth and smooth is fast! Nice job Lee. Obviously you cannot cover everything in advanced motorcycling in one video, but you gave a very good example of using the IPSGA system and its benefits. Although I've been riding motorcycles on the road for well over 50 years, am a member of the IAM and a Blood Runner, I always watch these videos to remind me and reinforce the system. Keep it up, I'm looking forward to your future videos. The more we can promote safe motorcycling, the better we can arrest the aging demographic. All the best, Steve SERV Sussex

      Thank you 🙏 so much for watching but even more so as a advanced rider to give your feedback I really do appreciate that and your so right it’s hard to get across advanced riding in one video so I’m going to try and break it down into each scenario ie right hand bends ect the learning process for is making the videos so again thank you for your feedback 🙏

      @BIKERBUDDYS50PLUS 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No I did my advance with IAM way back in 2011 with Coventry IAM I did do my observers course unfortunately Coventry had a written test and due to being dyslexic I couldn’t pass it so after the second attempt your not allowed to do it again ,on the practical side of observing and teaching I was top of the class unfortunately that wasn’t enough , so to rub there noses in it I won the club trophy 🏆 for the best advanced rider 3 years running I would take out advanced riders that had passed and do what they called green badge days for riders that wanted to ride at a brisker pace 👌as for now I like to help people like Josh and realy that’s what sparked this channel and away for me to pass something on so here I am on my own journey 🙏

      @RussRyan7713 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @BIKERBUDDYS50PLUS I like it. Also seem silly to me on IAM there is no Comms? In the car you are getting advice as you drive. Seems on a bike they are not allowed to talk to you while you ride. Something legal I think. Odd.

    Hi Lee, Can't imagine the pain of losing your daughter. 😢. My condolences. At 53 you are not old at all. My dad had a heart attack at 42 which stopped him doing a lot after and died at 52 when I was 19. I am now 51 years old and healthy and I take every day and year as a gift he didn't get it. My Mum passed away a couple of years ago from Alzheimer's. So I could go either way 😮. Gonna make sure I try and enjoy all the time I have left. Might be 30 years might be next week. You just don't know so embrace it. Losing a job can mess you up a lot as it's a big part of your identity. You need to fill that gap with new things like TH-cam. 😊. Totally agree you have do what you love. If you can't do it for work now, do it as a hobby and who knows where that leads. Thank you for sharing your story. 🤗. Take care.

    Enjoyed your video. I passed my IAM advanced test a couple of years ago in my car. Since then for the past year I have had a motorcycle. I am applying the same IPSGA on my bike as in the car. The main difference is the position on the road is much more pronounced than in a car for seeing round the corners etc. The other point worth making is to never sacrifice safety for position. If I am coming up to a left hand bend but an HGV is coming, i wont position to right. Same for if the road is very dirty with pot holes I wont go far left. Overtakes are also far more available on a bike than in a car. I actually enjoy that part the most when they are well executed. Also cars seem less bothered when a bike overtakes. Had several instances of upset car drivers when I overtake in a national and they are doing 45. Never had any issues on a bike. I watched your overtakes and they were very good. You mentioned lifesavers in the second overtake but I did not see your head camera move. probably just the camera angle. I mention it as that is where I know I forget my life savers the most, when doing an overtake. I am checking mirrors but still sometimes forget to take that extra look. (Thats my homework I try and do). Look forward to your next videos. 👍

      It’s definitely not easy to convince your brain to move over to the extreme left for a right bend and your not alone in this get your self left of centre and then just build your confidence in your position try dropping your speed and practice this on the roads you know to build your confidence in position I will be doing a video on right hand bends hope that helps for now 🙏thank you for watching and commenting it’s building my confidence to make these videos

    Chin up Lee, mate. You're certainly not on your own feeling lost. I'm only 35 myself, loving family, 2 kids, Mrs, good job... Mental health issues sometimes had no rhyme or reason, it can literally just spring up on you.. Or it did me anyway. I had my own business back in 2018, was going really well, woke up one day like normal, and by dinner time i'd had a full on mental breakdown, the most trivial issue cropped up and I snapped. Completely blind sided by my own mind and emotions. Subsequently closed my business and essentially sat in a darkened room for the next 9 months contemplating life trying to find meaning and willing myself to go on, all savings gone... Best thing I ever done was talk about my issues, and show my emotions, to my Mrs, my friends, even my kids and we've become a much tighter unit because of it. I still have my demons, good days and bad days like we all do, still burn out, but I talk about it, just a simple "ah I'm not feeling good today" to the Mrs, and we sit down and hash it out. I sometimes talk about it in my videos on here too mate, and I have people say thank you to me for be so open and honest... Makes other men feel that they're not on their own. YOU are not on your own Lee! There's a fantastic community of like minded people in here (TH-cam) we just have to find each other via the right channels (see what I did there? 😆) I've given you a follow mate, I'm curios to hear what interesting stories, adventures and experiences you've had so far in your career/life... Please share it with us AND KEEP TALKING! we need to break the stigma 🙏 I appload you and your courage for opening yourself up to an Internet full of strangers. Until we see you again, take care buddy. Much love. Lew.

      @BIKERBUDDYS50PLUS nice one Lee, hopefully some of my videos will slap a smile on your chops 😊 but more importantly, get out on the bike! Bit of throttle therapy, really can't beat it! I'm always chasing that flow state, cliché as you know, but it really is you and the next corner... Bliss... Serenity... Calm in the face of chaos... No time for thought, bills, feelings, politics, just man and machine. Poetry in motion. Beautiful! The Mrs will always sence when I'm getting a bit low, bit aggy or withdrawn, quiet... And she's always the one to give me nudge "get out on the bike, you need it" she's says. She knows me better than I know myself it seems 😆 the bike is a great tool for me, helps gets things back in focus when my heads feeling a little foggy. 🤙

      Thank you 🙏 it was the first point I wanted to try and get across as even now I will find myself in the wrong position for the riding situation I’m in the videos will get more complex as we go on for me the task is how best to convey that but I’m loving the challenge thx again for your support don’t worry buddy is already on my case not to neglect his fan club 👌

    I’m similar age to you and feel the same way, lost all enthusiasm for life and really struggling to keep going day after day. My wife doesn’t really understand it so I don’t mention it now and she thinks everything is fine again but it’s not. Ridden bikes my whole life and it’s the only thing that keeps me going so you’re not on your own. 👍

      Thank you for watching and commenting the one thing this video has taught me is not to dismiss how we feel don’t lock it away even tho that’s easier said than done the comments I’ve had have blown me away and made me realise I’m not alone I’m not week for feeling this way I’m week if I don’t talk about it there is a comment on here from a chap that felt exactly the same and he went to the doctors and had a mot they found he had very low testosterone I’ve got a appointment this week just incase that’s something contributing to how I constantly feel again thank you for watching and opening up ride safe ride free 🙏
