    I got an rv, I like to park in shade. I know it’s flat mounted, designed for the roof. Would like to be able to unmount this and plug it in somewhere else. Is there any advantage to mounting this differently? Maybe something that follows satellites. Would there be any benefit? Is that a thing?

    The Starlink website is a little confusing. There doesn't seem to be an option for this when ordering, but it does show the 3 different dishes? Do you know what dish comes with the RV version? It "seems" one would get this dish for RV & "on the go" use, but nothing to clarify when placing the order. Thanks for the info.

    • @BFAO1621
      @BFAO1621 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      its not confusing at all. they don't give you the option to chose with starlink you want, thye give you the choice to opt between the option of RV, commercial, residential, aviation or maritime. you chose between those and they send you the dish in accordance with which of those you have chosen!

      @@BFAO1621 i just received the "rv" its a standard dish set up not the one in the video. i was dead set ill get the flat performance dish, now they can take it back and refund me the money. strarlink should make it indeed clear what you get before ordering.

    hi, I have recently moved home and my NBN connection is slow as, i have decided to go with the cheapest nbn option available + starlink, and I am looking into seamless failover options, ideally I want to have starlink as my main connection for most applications, and seamless failover to the nbn service, the servers also needs to failback to starlink when it becomes available again the services running through starlink will be fairly low priority, mainly video streaming services etc so don't need SD wan or anything like that I would also like to have some devices/ applications on the network to always use the NBN service, as this service has much lower latency, so I need some sort of QOL service on the firewall choosing which internet service to send which packets to I have done a bit of research into different routers and found a few people on youtube testing them out, but they aren't really going over the features of the routers in depth enough for me to figure out "which" router I need exactly to do what I want to do ideally on some computers I would have QOL on a per application level to choose between networks if possible could you point me in the right direction? do you know of a router that can do everything I want? or do you know of any computer programs that can help manage what applications use which router etc? I know I can do a duel router setup with different default gateways, is their a way for me to, select which applications use what default gateway?

    I'm a little surprised it still requires "MAINS" power supply. Given the "mobile" nature, why on earth wouldn't they have made it with a 12 volt input?

    • @NetVaultAus
      @NetVaultAus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it would be mich better to have a 12v option, but sadly SpaceX have neglected this
