Cain Marko was once an average little boy, until life stepped in, and his mother had passed away, leaving his father a single man. So, he did what most single men do: Find a wife... again. This new woman in the Markos lives would be the mother of one Charles Xavier. Cain was an abused child, even moreso after his mother's death due to his father's guilt. Charles very existence was a punishment for Cain. Because now he had a measuring stick that his awful father would use to find reasons to beat Cain while treating Charles as his perferred child. After many fights, many years, and losing his second biological parent: Cain would discover Charles mutation and realize how his half-brother kind of has everything in life that Cain doesn't. He has brains, powers, and his father's love. The two would become estranged for obvious reasons and while deployed overseas Cain would come across an ancient artifact. One forged in hatred and rage: The Gem of Cyttorak! Placing hands on the gem caused its home cave to collapse, with this incident Cain was presumed dead, but that was not the case. Now serving as the avatar to the very concept of rage itself, Cain had transformed in the the Unstoppable Juggernaut! With his newfound power, Cain would wage war with many heroes and even villains like the original X-Men, Venom, Dr. Strange, Oblivion and even Thor the God of Thunder. Cain's path in life for the longest time was one of death and destruction, following the whims of the one who granted him such immense power. But humans can't be angry forever. Cains realization came from when he had to run through the Earth for months to get back to the surface, without any food, water, or even air. Once returning he realized that his running actual caused catastrophic damage to the Earth as he shifted tectonic plates around wildly. His comeuppance almost came in the form of a human wielding the power of Captain Universe. He wanted to kill the Juggernaut for the damage he causes. Unfortuanetly for him, once his mission of vengeance proceeded the needs of the many other people in danger, the power of Captain Universe left the human and went to Cain. Juggernaut surprising even Spider-Man, decided to use the reality warping ability of Captain Universe to help everyone effected by the damage he had inadvertently caused. Juggernaut had turned a new leaf and teamed up with a crew to try and rehab his image. He started doing jobs for the government, one even involved him taking on and knocking Devil hulk out cold with a punch. Cain may be less powerful due to his new good guy ways, but he is much happier as a person. As of writing he is even trying to lead new mutants on Krakoa after earning his spot there and his spot amongst the mutant community even without being one himself.
Knuckles the Echidna was one of the very first Sonic characters ever created and was basically Sonic's first rival. In his debut he had knocked Sonic out of his super form with a single uppercut and would play the Hedgehog like a fiddle whenever they met throughout their adventure in Angel Island. Knuckles showed out the gate that his area of expertise was warfare and power. His spiked hands give him the ability to dig through solid rock easily, his dreads trap air under them allowing him to glide long distances, and Knuckles seems to have a sixth sense when it comes to Chaos energy even being able to find singular pieces of the giant Master Emerald quite easily. In his early days Knuckles was an expert treasure hunter and would have a love/hate rivalry with fellow gem enthusiast: Rouge the Bat. With time though Knuckles would fall to the same thingmost of Sonic's secondary cast would. He would continuously sink further into the background, be playable less and less, and be important even less often. For a while h ewas essentially a cheerleader for Sonic to lean on while he had all the adventures. But Knuckles prominence would live on through the comics, especially Archie. And he is being given more character in the newest games rather than just being labeled as the dumb guy, which is a harsh flanderization for an islander not accustomed to our day to day. Even through the harshest times and the meanest tricks, Knuckles had always bounced back to prove he is a valuble player and while his rival spot has been mostly taken by Shadow, Knuckles has somewhat upgraded to one of Sonic's best friends. Keeping the sanity while the Hedgehog is off doing whatever it is or he's right in the thick of danger, protecting those he cares about.
