Hi the indicator uses a standard bulb. These bulbs are not included in the light kit. This is why we didn't show this on the video. If you wish you could always upgrade with LED indicator bulbs but you would need to check this would be compatible and not fast flash. I hope this info is useful.

if you watch the video towards the end you will see this kit has reflectors included in the light set.

Hi @ruffiyan, with the light in place the lug should just screw straight in as shown in the video. Is it possible there are some wires/ resistors in the way?

@@ultimatestyling9631 nothings in the way, i can feel the bottom end of the lug inside the hole but when i turn, it won't screw in place..if i take the light out and screw it has to go at an angle then it positions itself straight, its frustrating.

@@ruffiyan try screwing the screw into the light while its removed, just to ensure these is no plastic debris preventing it to screw in. the pin has to be perfectly aligned to screw in. it can be fiddly as there is limited room.

@@ultimatestyling9631 i tried that originally and it would only screw at certain angles in the end i gave up and used a nut and bolt

@@ultimatestyling9631 Thanks for your reply, my original factory lights have part led lights, and in the case of automatic headlights off during the day, when I step on the brake, the inner and outer lights will light up. But now with the new light, the light on the tailgate does not light during the braking process. My car is a 2020 Focus active top, and I saw the model number C519 on their engine system.

@@ultimatestyling9631 Thanks again for your reply. At present, I still can't make the part LED follow the brake light all the time. My current workaround is to use forscan, toggle "DRL include park lamps" in the BdyCM module to "enable". In this way, I can only realize that the taillights are on in the daytime environment, or that the taillights are not on when driving, and all the taillights are on together when braking. Just in this way, relatively "look better". If you have any other way to do it, please do let me know, I will try any way.☺

Even though it comes with bulbs can I put 100w xenon style h1 halogen bulbs in that you can get from eBay?, also does it matter that they don't have side light bulbs for the MOT sorry for the stupid questions

@@stevesmith1764 Hi, the DRL strips act as sidelights, this makes them NOT compliant. Avoid using any high wattage bulbs when upgrading. high temp bulbs behind the projectors can melt the outer lens and void warranty. if you are looking at upgrading bulbs i would look for a well known premium brand with the same wattage that gives a better beam output. please note high/low beam LED bulb upgrades can fail MOT with the latest testing regs..

Hi, the wiring is different, they could possibly be retrofitted by chopping wiring etc but this would be a gamble and would void any warranty if the lights are adapted

For any future queries you get around installation, it'll be helpful for others to know that the long cable connects the quarter fitted light to the boot fitted light and can be fed (with some difficulty) under the rear windscreen (boot lid) trim, up to the top, through the black rubber gromits, down each side of the boot trim seals and then inside the boot lining behind the light.
