Hey Tristan, it depends on what the business is doing. For example, if they are selling things on a website or collecting information on their website, then usually they will get their website security tested for vulnerabilities. Otherwise, if the business is based around a piece of technology or software they will get that tested for assurance that it is secure.

Liked the practicality of this episode for our teams. The two actions I took are: to ensure our team kan ban work states are still working for us (part of a leaders role is to ensure systems are streamlined for the team); review whether our rituals are as lean as they can be (reducing necessary waste). Aside from that really liked the discussion on the right kind of mindset for a digital leader and the elements that make up building a team. Thanks to both of you.

Like the idea around getting the mindset right around business outcomes for IT projects. It’s easy to get lost in the details of solutions and forget what we’re trying to achieve. The wind tunnel modelling of a business sounds interesting as well. Modelling the impact of decisions but not over analysing. Also quite like the calendar approach to things like life cycle management.

Interesting session. My key take outs: Reimagine your work life - replace HR, finance and operations with library (future), cafe (collaboration) and war room (operations); thought leaders need to share their authentic opinions without corporate censorship; Developing managers need to bring the ability to create capacity, as well as to be capable. Digital ways of working need is to be more conscious of how we’re communicating than in person. Thank you!
