No one respects Italian football, apart from Italians, Cheating, diving all over the place, I'm now 47, Absolutely no respect for cheats and especially Juventus, they are regarded as cheats the world over!
Heading down to NF in March from Scotland. Been a boyhood dream since Trevor Francis dived onto a cement circle to clinch the European Cup. I will pay homage to the great man with a wee dram.

Doesn't surprise me that Derby were crying foul in Italy, similar happened to Leeds and others, there was, and probably somewhat still is, a lot of corruption
He would of made Derby the pinnacle of football had he stayed how forset must pinch themselves every day I'm a massive arsenal fan wenger was a amazing but clough was the best
Brian clough what a man proper straight laced northerner more people like him things would be done better in this world call a spade a spade no backhanded comments true& to the point!! Top man god bless him 😊👍🏻👌🏻
There is also a hidden story here that never gets told in these documentaries. Sure 5:44 Clough was shaped as a coach at Sunderland by his then boss, but both he and PARTICULARLY Peter Taylor was influenced by a Scouser - who for some reason - no one seems to remember these days in the London/Manchester-centric Media (one Harry Storer). Storer was particularly outspoken and abrasive (and his manner with the Press and Media was not unlike Clough's). Harry Storer managed mainly in the lower divisions however. Not just at Coventry but, ironically, at Derby also many years before.
THE QUIET MAN 1958 yeah but nobody listens to me lad, unlike Clough who obviously had an audience listening to his drunken ramblings, look up Clough comments on Hillsborough lad,
a drunken idiot? that won two promotions into division one with two provincial clubs, took both of these clubs to the top of division 1, took derby to a european cup semi final, took nottm forest to two european cups, an fa cup final, & four league cups. & your achievements are...?
The Governor. Simply the Governor. I'm a Southampton supporter of many years, and we had two outstanding managers - Ted Bates and Lawrie McMenemy. (Going back a long way here!) But Brian was special - very special. He took two relatively small clubs, Derby County and Nottingham Forest, out of Division Two, as it was in those days, and to the League Championship. And of course he took Forest on to two consecutive European Cup triumphs. Plus a League Cup or two. It's always debatable in any field to say this one or that one is the 'greatest'. But I would put Brian in the top two along with Alec Ferguson. I might even put Brian, to borrow one of his, in the top one.
Forest fan here..."I remember Lawrie McMenemy very well and the teams he managed in his era had Keegan,Channon..some great players..Great goals too ..which we used to mimic in the school playground and the parks ...no mobile fones to play with in the 70..80s
@@ashmazad857 yes, Lawrie brought some great players to Southampton - his first big signing was Peter Osgood in 1974. There was also as you say later on Keegan, (Channon was already at Southampton, but then he went to Manchester City for a couple of seasons then Lawrie brought him back). There was also Peter Shilton, Alan Ball, Dave Watson, Charlie George . . . and a good few others. Wonderful days at The Dell, as the ground was then. We could hardly believe it. Not such great days now though 😏.
I was and am Man U fan, but I loved Forest because of Clough. Loved the players, too. Shilts, Burns and wee Archie. What a spine to the team. Has any footballers legs moved as fast as Archie's in full flight?
Come on now I'm a Scot Billy Bremer was class.Pele still talks about facing Scottish Terrier .All teams back then had couple players who were hard and protected more skilful players Leeds happened have team who could play but instead two they had 12. Clough had balls to take job wanted Leeds to simply leave referee alone dump the reputation & show they were top team .
Quote of ‘right or wrong’ clearly you were wrong!! End of, Sam longson and Leeds players of that time should NOT ridicule Brian for his disapproval of Leeds gameplay as of fair gameplay because he was right, they were without a doubt a dirty team at the time of that play and I’m a Leeds fan, Leeds players should have accepted that the success may have extended for the better. Just look at the gameplay today which speaks for itself
Edit jimmy saville out of this clip, Nottingham Forest do not want to be associated with the worlds worst paedophile so remove him, take this down or
Great documentary. Thanks for posting 👍

My record was better than Jimmy’s, and Jimmy was the best of them all...
Three years of military service? Glossed over that pretty quickly! I’d say that influenced him greatly!
Decent manager but self obsessed drunk. Drank himself to death. What a shame 😂
This was the last time that a football club was run properly in terms of hiring the right personnel; funding them and leaving them to it.
Just realised he’s better than Mourniho cos he won div.1 with 2clubs
Last vape !!!

Brian Clough and Bill Shankly the 2 most charismatic in football history
Clough is like nobody and he’s certainly in a class of his own well above Shankly
Peter Taylor was the real genius, Clough was just a loudmouthed asshole.

You can say what you like about Leeds but you cannot take away the fact that they were a truly great side, great players for10/12 years.

Leeds were dirty Brian was telling the truth!
Norman Hunter was a clean player though.
McGovern really was loyal to Clough
Don't think I've heard of a player that wasn't.
Michael Sheen was perfect to play Brian Clough. He absolutely nailed it
Love that at the beginning. Bobby Robson... legend talking about a legend
Take that dirty nonce saville off this clip. Dirty dirty bastard.

I guess you shouldn't wipe out history but you have a point, he was disgusting in every possible way.
Now then, now then, ‘ow’s about that then.
