@@jonas3648 thanks for the comment. If you want you can make the live instrument layer louder, depends on what you want to achieve. Its enough to justify the effort because it gives unique tembre to a synth. In the video piano layer volume is set to achieve subtle tembre changes

About chords and melodies, i recommend learning an instrument and music theory for example piano and start improvising. This is a great way to learn how to make graceful chords and melodies. Or maybe taking real piano(or any other instrument) lessons in music school nearby you. Recently i started doing 1-1 production sessions with students and we also learn about chords and melodies in EDM

hey thanks, i didn't know that. But setting phase to 0% randomization can produce a weird sound texture which doesn't fit well in every genre that's why in this video i decided to increase the attack instead.

@@Alkatribe thanks for the comment. As a solution You can use Ableton instead of your main daw, you can spend 1-2 hours to learn the interface but i think its worth it. I was thinking about making templates for both FL and ableton but when i have a lot more subscribers, maybe in the future. If you have another daw i would recommend to learn fl and/ableton as these are the most popular ones, knowing several daws is a useful skill

True. But it might take a lot of time. Even if you find the kick with perfect waveform it might not work in the track. I'm afraid producers nowadays just can't afford not to EQ low freqs Another very interesting thing: EQ's are not messing phases much when cutting instead of boosting. I've watched many videos, and i've seen even professionals applying EQ to the lows of their kick and bass, i guess no one really cares so much about it

@@Illarion_studio both boosting and cutting shift phases, it is just in the mechanics of equalizers: the shift happens on the edges and in the center frequency, regardless of whether it's a boost or cut. The higher up you want to climb to the main stages, the more detail you'll pay attention to. There's 1 more solution btw: using ProQ3 and there's linear mode in it, that compensates for phase shifts but it has a nother quirk to it:pre-ringing.

hey thanks for the comment. I kind of agree but i checked on my laptop speakers and it translates very well, everything is clearly hearable. I think achieving "acceptable" mix quality is enough for nowadays music standarts. I don't think average listeners are going to recognize that top 20% of the difference that good acoustics give you. Besides that even if you have good acoustics you have to be experienced enough to use it at 100% of what it can give you

@@Illarion_studio it translates onlaptop speakers and you are great, always watching your videos. mix quality = loudness, interessting sounddesign this are things you need at least a semi pro studio for. Your stuff is great, but you are probably on headphones, thats why you keep it simple and fuctional, nothing bad about this: But electronic music lives from sounddesign, tight sounds which translate on all systems which people use today. Everything needs to be perfect, you think of leonardo di caprio in a wheelchair, everybody will say, yeah cute guy but he would not be the leonardo di caprio evertbody celbrates.....bigup yourself! dont say its enough if it is not

@@JDVVV378 thank you very much for the comment. I have main 3 groups for Drums,Music,Fx. Kick is inside drum group and sometimes i have it layered thats why i have kick group. I was making group for kick and bass together earlier. Now i have kick in drums group and bass in music group. This is because i compress drum gr with glue compressor 99% of the time.and i compress low end on master bass for volume control purposes, because its already punchy and i dont need to compress lows. Good sound selection for kick and bass is what you need, sometimes you wouldn't even need to use compression. Its a matter of taste and i would say that you can achieve really good kick and bass groove together in many ways. If you like doing it your way by creating kick&bass group its 100% okay. I also think it depends on genre for exapmple its probably better to compress kick and bass together if youre making hardstyle where these elements are essential. My Send channels have reverb and delays. You can use send channels not only for spacial effects but for chorus,grain +many other effects even for a double track for vocals. On main elements i would prefer send channels because if you use reverb for example on a lead sound it would take away some of the volume and clarity from the main signal. Using reverb/delay directly on channels on secondary stuff like pads and effects is fine but you have know what you are doing. Hope that helps if you have any questions im happy to answer

thanks for the comment. around 123 bpm is a good tempo for melodic house. Honestly i dont often hear melodic house lower than 120 bpm if you know some good songs please share

you are correct. labels like This never happened, Colorize and so on, release melodic house that anjunadeep could potentially release too. today's melodic house sound is pretty much defined. If i would listen to a random release on the labels i listed above i probably wouldn't guess 100% of the time
