wait what?! we test microwaves now?! how much per microwave?
Reading says needs a bond, but it looks plastic coming out the ground.... but the pipework along the building externally can be touched while standing on the mass off eart I'd bond that just inside the building
Happy Christmas wishes 😊 keep up the good work 👍,
Merry Xmas mainly. 👍👍👍 hope you actually managed to take the day off. 😬
Thanks , Same to you mate .. hope you're all well ❤️⚡️
Buddy could you explain more about using 300ma
No, notify and walk off until removed.
installed them as new items in the 70s but without those new fangled MCBs. first ix in a day, 1 ring, 1 lights up and down, 1 cooker,
I can see when the inverter goes faulty it takes the other 2 down . Each inverter should have its own isolator. And I know that most inverter manufactures recommend a min or 100ma rcd not 30ma.
When was the unit installed, has it got batterys or is it just inverter with pannels.
Terrible screwdrivers you have
Perfect example of why I would rather plugs and fused spurs were not sold with a 13A fuse fitted. Thank you, your presentations are excellent and thought provoking.
If it’s plastic then metallic entry into building & no contact with the ground then it’s not extraneous. Your measurements show that it requires Main Protective Bonding Conductor, but you maybe getting parallel earths that relate to the measurements. Back in the day any metallic service pipework would require MPBC, going by the book of law this does require it.
What have been nice to know what temperature the plug got to.
Disconnected
It looks like it’s plastic incoming, not extraneous, don’t bond. The building however, if steel frame/cladding are extraneous this would have an earth and ultimately may earth the pipework if in any way in contact with the cladding.
Praise the Lord 😮, Inchrist & secure Amen 🙏
They'll be calling you back in June too when the signal to the teleswitch on their meter is turned off
When I was back in college in 1989, the big thing was rewirable fuses being shit. A lecturer demonstrated how shit they were, by applying a load via a rheostat, and we watched a slow increase of current take a 5 amp fuse wire to about 18 amps before popping. The 1mm cable was dripping off the hot copper conductors!! The lecturer reckoned he'd got the 1mm to melt one time when he'd double wrapped 5 amp fuse wire!!!!!
Love those mem half trip rcds I’ve made some coin resetting them babies ❤
Oh yeah !! These and the MKs . Have a great Christmas Chris ❤️⚡️
I've made thousands from them lol best rcd in the game 😂
Is that a ring ?
You gotta pay cost to be the bost
Replace it, if that's proven to be cable, maybe next year 😂 you n yours have a great Xmas 🎁 mainly look forward to next year's posts
That's actually more than 1.9x !!
Hope you have the day off tomorrow, Merry Christmas to you and yours
Where was the fuse board? And where was that joint box? Loose connection to a wago or choc block?
Boards garage mate .. fault was a cable to one of the lounge switches
That bend on the incoming L to that RCD is nuts, just look at all that exposed copper too. Looks like it wants to pop out!!!
These Hager Duals renowned for that . Very poor
Liking this top spark. Lovely demo indeed. Wonder how warm that flex was.......
dry your clothes on it Daz 😩.. much worse at 25 ish amps .. it'll pull that for 30 ish minutes and that's when it goes Pete tong . Merry Christmas mate 💪⚡️
ohhhh noooo
Hi! I can't find the rest of the video 😅
Hi gille ,, It's somewhere mate 😅
No code at all - minimum 30mA protection - satisfactory . Purpose of eicr is a report on the safety of the electrical installation - not a money generating exercise
Another nugget learned thank you 👍🏼🇬🇧
Thanks for all your advice and time this year Mainly greatly appreciated, enjoy yourself and please have a few days off. Merry Xmas and happy new year mate 👍🏼🇬🇧❤️
All good Tommy .. merry Christmas to you and yours ❤️
@@Mainly_Electrical Need the link posting to me to upgrade my membership I’ve tried looking for it but can’t find where to do it mate. 👍🏼🇬🇧
Increased probability of nuisance tripping - C3 to replace RCD/DB
Go on then dude im interested, what method you use to find it and whats was causing it
Just split this up mate , joints everywhere, was a cable to a lounge light switch . We'll return in the new year to rewire
@Mainly_Electrical cool dude, have a good Christmas 🎄
I would 100% bond incomer pipework at entrance to building to met if metallic-which it isnt just now
Lovely trainers
👌 have a nice Christmas frank 👍
@@Mainly_Electrical you too. Thank you for everything that you provide
Thank you , All good mate 👌
Almost makes you wonder what’s the point of having the fuse at all!
N-E fault on a circuit from that three phase board?
