Nicknamed Idaho’s windiest road, Old Spiral Highway is a very interesting road with more than 60 turns and twists.

Well done. Fun trip. Left “The Falls” in 1967. There’s been a few changes over the years. LOL

First of all thank you very much for taking the time to watch this and for taking the time to comment. This is my very first video on this channel, and my very first dash cam video, wasn't quite sure if I was doing it right but I really appreciate that you liked it. Secondly, oh my gosh, I can't even imagine if you have a picture in your mind of Niagara falls at 1967 and to see it today? I've lived in Niagara falls all my life, and I see it changing little by little everyday. I got to say though, the fastest changes were around the late nineties when they knew that the first casino was coming in so they had to put all those high-rise hotels falls adjacent, that changed the skyline a lot, and in the last five or six years, there's been an awful lot of change... A lot of wooded areas, a lot of field areas, a lot of places that may have had one house with a large lawn, all taken down to cram high-density housing in there. Every time you go for a little drive, more and more natural land has been bulldozed and it just makes me feel awful. I wish we had cameras like this back in the 70s 80s and 90s... To see the change compared to the day is quite shocking. There is a video on TH-cam called "Niagara falls then and now" there's a part 1 and part 2, you might enjoy seeing it, it shows a picture of a location in Niagara falls and then a recent update...

@@RailfansandRoadTrips If this is your first dash cam video you have done a damn good job. 5 Stars! Although I left in ‘67 I have often been back as my large extended family is still there. Even so as a visitor you don’t often frequent the ‘tourist areas’ in fact you avoid them. LOL. So many changes but the old city looks not so good. My boyhood neighbourhood was St Pat’s, Queen St, St Lawrence, Municipal Pool, Cyanamid Pool, the Glen, Duff, etc etc. Great memories! Thanks again.

@@MikeArmstrong-jv4eg yeah I grew up spending a lot of time down the Glen, and Duff. St Patrick's school, and downtown area and boy has it ever changed a lot. I'm trying not to be negative here (or I should say, honest) and anyone in development would argue the point but I feel that Niagara Falls was a lot better for its residents in the '50s and '60s and '70s and '80s, then it has been for the last 30 years.

Yes it's my first dash cam video... I've never made a video this long before either .. I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong cuz it was taking absolutely forever to upload to TH-cam, it was probably just the size of the file. Makes me wonder though, this was only about 48 minutes of dash cam, and I wanted to start uploading some road trips worth of dash cam and a lot of days that's like 8 hours a day of driving. It may not be possible... But I wanted to start with this one just because of the timing, I don't drive around the tourist area of that often either, you don't when you live here. But I just happen to be around and I thought why not go for a little drive, it was really quiet
