Love your ideas!! I would say do not paint the cabinets. A multimillion dollar custom home builder advised me to not do that because it cheapens your house. Keep the original wood cabinets!! Add new Granite countertops (Quartzite although more expensive isn’t as durable), new backsplash and new paint.

I like options 1 and 3!
Option #3 would go with dark island to avoid unwanted spills, stains, and shoe scuffs when eating and entertaining at an island. Love the idea of the quartz black splash paired with a deep white farmhouse kitchen sink 👩🏽🍳💋🤌🏾
