Thundercat 1107 on spring snow!

Spring snow is fast snow! Was a poor year for riding. Pretty much the one and only ride for the year.

1996 Thundercat triple "The easy way" to prime
มุมมอง 29810 หลายเดือนก่อน
These big block sleds are a bugger to prime from pulling on the rope, so here's a way to prime a snowmobile carburetor with out killing your back.
Broken throttle, no problem...

Fixing cable, and synchronizing carbs before install. Tomorrow we test and tune!

-15 F, almost full moon. Battery drained fast so vid is short.
Whats been done to the engine?
Shaved the deck height on the jugs, and bored to 1107 with the D&D big bore kit. Running V-force reeds, Lectron carbs, and D&D trail pipes with stingers. Thanks for watching bud!
What a sound!
Like no other! Hard to beat the sound of these greasy triples! Im glad you liked it, thx for watching!
Damn! I miss my 96 T-Cat
They were some mean ole sleds! Torque Monsters!
Home made flesh fly tied with rabbit hair worked awesome today! I know I need a net, its on the list for must have!
What pipes are on it?
They are D&D pipes with stingers. Im pretty sure they are the trail pipes. Thanks for watching bud!
@@greatalaska6429 Nice! Im building a -97 T-cat 900 MC with D&D MOD 1000 pipes right now. Hoping to get it going in a few weeks. Hard to get parts here in Sweden so im hunting like a m-ther f-cker hahaha. You dont happend to have an exhaust gauge for a triple do you?
The big triples, a different era it seems.
A different time, those big blocks were torque machines. Still love em! Thanks for watching bud!
Ehh, a Vmax-4 might be the sweetest sounding machine ever hehe
Its up there for sure! Thanks for watching bud
@@greatalaska6429 Indeed! Triples sound great too :)
Thundercat...feel the power!!!
You know it!
Your snow looks bout as shitty as mine in BC
Niice! Definitely don't sell that sled! And "hang on to it" if you can!!
WFO bud🤘
Oh dang, out there rippin on the thang! Thanks for watching bud!
Man you know your haul when that trail keeps getting tighter. Trees start looking like you can touch em.
Cook inlet
Sick video man I’m glad to see you ripping the old thundercat!! We didn’t get any snow here in the Catskills so I couldn’t ride my thundercat only got a video of a few laps around the yard when we got 3” the one storm lol
It was a pretty poor year for riding up here too. Hopefully next year will be better. Thanks for watching bud!
Ripper🔥
Nice🔥
Rowdy old cat! Looks like fun!
Fun and terrifying all at the same time, thanks for watching bud!
That thing runs like a scalded dog. I used to have a 99 Mach z . I long tracked it but I wish I had left it alone. 144 was to much drag n it wasn't that fast anymore.
This is still the 136, but it does have the 2 inch paddle so it bites pretty good! Those Mach z's were bad boys! Thanks for watching bud
Awesome view 💯🔥💯
It really is! Thanks for watching bud!
KNOW how to TOW if you snowMO!
Excellent!! Hang on to that beast. Gonna be collector item for sure. Kinda like late 80 early 90 Honda CR500 dirt bikes Bringing big money these days. Man, sure makes me want to dig out my 1995 ZRT800. Hasn't run in about 15 years either. Its actually a 900. 900 T-Cat cylinders ported by Stage 6 performance (90s era). Slight increase in compression. Stock pipes. V Force reeds. Stage 6 clutch kit Supposedly 185-190 hp. The thing was/is a rocket ship. I tuned the carbs and was getting as good or better gas mileage as my buddies who were all running 600s - 800s. Always wanted to try one of those 1107 kits!
Hell yes! I think your right about that! These things are getting more and more popular again. Those ole ZRT's were some bad boy's! You should try and keep that greasy thing alive, sounds like a bad ass sled!
Looks awesome bud, 1 day I'll get there
Beauty! Looks like a great place to go fishing!
When it’s broken you have to tow it. 👍
I live in Caribou, Maine. It's the northern most city in the USA, right below Canada. It looks just like this here...snow everywhere!!! From November to April. Awesome old Thundercat!!
I think you forgot about us up here in Alaska bro
I suppose you voted for Joe Biden
I reckon you got a pinch of the tard if you take that from a snowmachine vid. Go back to reddit
@greatalaska6429 I am a man of noble intelligence, you got nothing on me
@@greatalaska6429 all I'm saying is that we need Trump back
Looks like the frames are sped up..
Thats just how fast this ole girl is, thanks for watching bud!
The good old thunder chicken....we had alot of fun with those back in the day...rmk 800 edge thunder cats and even some Yamahamers....lots of steep and deep mountains
Sweet sled I love the cats triple
My dad threw my 12-year-old ass on a piped Formula III 600 making 150 horse -- and a few years later his 800 making 180. The sound of these old triples is seared into my soul.
I know what ya mean once you get that greasy bug it's hard to shake! Thanks for watching
When I was 12 my dad bought a sled for us to ride. A piped, ported, tuned zrt600 with reeds, machined heads, whole 9 yards. I don’t think he ever had a clue how fast it actually was.
YES!
God I miss trail riding my 93 tcat 😩
Those were wicked machines, good show
They really were and still are in their own right, thanks for watching bud!
Dude I love my older 90s and early 2000s cats brand loyalty aside the big ZR and any of the ZRT engines would rip and they just sound great even stock
Harry's garage with Jeremy Clarkson
Brings back memories. I’ve got to get my 700ZR out of storage my dad and I both had one. Mines a 95 and his is a 94. If you know what you’re doing you can make those suckers run. Especially if you drag race them. On ice would be great.
sick!!!!
Looks beautiful
This far north the sun barley gets above the trees, but when it shines through and illuminates all the snow it really is beautiful. Thanks for watching!
Just shows hillbillies live in every state.😁
But it is not easy to get a red neck in Alaska.
@@rickhawkins218 At least for half the year.
Does that sled have reverse ?
No sir, I sure wish it did. Thanks for watching bud!
Did anyone return to get the camera or camera man?
He was on another sled right behind us. Thats me getting towed out by my buddy. Thanks for watching!
Towing skidoo ! Mechanical problems ! 🤔
Broken chain balled up in the gearbox, thx for watching!
What’s the gestation period of a female snowmobile?
why not just a steady throttle? why all the revving? I dont operate construction equipment like that. I gont get it.
That's a beauty.
Thanks bud, she really is!
Crazy how well that thing runs
Only thing that will beat it out of the crate was xcr 800
Mine ran great and I never lost a lake drag. Not once.
Beast mode
Work it like you know it.
Yeah I'm new scriber, looks wicked
Thanks bud, I appreciate it!
Awesome 👌
