Lactic acid enantiomers how many signals
Lactic acid will have 4 signals for 3H (CH3), 1H(CH), 1H (OH), 1H(COOH). sometimes one observes 3 signals because of acidic proton is exchangable. You can not distinguish enantiomers from NMR.
Is a1×a2 in c3v allowed or forbidden? You only told the irreducible representation for it.
A1xA2 will be forbidden transition since it's IR's is A2, which has -1 value in the charactertable. it is explained in the video ,please watch full video again.

I have a doubt in last example as the hydrogen is removed for alpha position in presence of LDA how the removal from terminal carbon is possible?.
LDA abstracts less acidic proton. The terminal proton is less acidic due to less stability. so it abstracts.

thank you ma'am, can you plz explain 1H-NMR spectra for 4-Hydroxy-4'-methoxy-[1,1'-biphenyl]-3-carbaldehyde, 3-Hydroxy-4'-methoxy-[1,1'-biphenyl]-4-carbaldehyde , 2-Hydroxy-4'-methoxy-[1,1'-biphenyl]-3-carbaldehyde
You will expect total 8 signals for all the 3 isomers, out of those 5 signals are in aromatic region. in the 1st isomer the proton meta to CHO group should be dd (t), in 2nd isomer proton meta to OH group or ortho- to CHO group should be doublet (d) and in 3rd isomer the proton meta to CHO group should be triplet (t).
