The Loneliest Tree in The Bahamas | HARBOUR ISLAND
Join us for another day on Harbour Island! Today was a relaxing one as we took a walk around the island so that I could show you guys The Landing restaurant, Da Vine restaurant, the Rock House restaurant, the commercial dock, and more. After our walk we got a quick lunch at The Briland Club which was absolutely phenomenal. Next, we went over to the Lone Tree which is a really cool dead tree that is just in the middle of a sandbar alone. The sandbar around the tree is awesome and so we just hung out around the sandbar for a long time. After that we went grocery shopping at the Piggly Wiggly and the Bob's Marketplace before finally heading back to our rental home. We finished the day by heading to Romora Bay for dinner, but they were sadly closed so went over to Valentines Resort and Marina instead.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if I can be a resource for anything boating or Bahamas related. Contact information below.

This video was awesome-you covered an amazing amount of info and saved me hours or maybe days of reading manual and trying it out. I had never thought about powering up when not in water and impact on bigger transducers that could burn up. So you likely saved me and others some serious change! Thanks for covering things quickly and doing so much in only a half hour or so. I loved it didn't drag and a few more complicated or relevant things I didn't get 100 pct I just rewound. THANK YOU! I likely will have some questions on it when I get it-and I also appreciate you providing contact for those things. @@NickOlinde Will do Nick. Topics I would like to know more about include how to save waypoints and info from a machine on one boat and put it on a 2nd (I have a Mako 21 for inshore/river/flats and 25' Grady for offshore). I'm curious if this can be done for different machines too, older Garmins as well as a nice Humminbird 12 I have. Thank you for saving me tons of time. I am envious of your screen real estate! I'd love to get one bigger than a 12 but I'm having trouble justifying and the fact that you don't get a mounting bracket with 16 on up is a problem for me as I don't have enough dash to put in a 16. Another thing I'm doing that others may be interested in is using active capatain android app. I bought a 4k resolution android car 15.6 inch tablet and plan to use it as a 2nd screen on my boat. I'm thinking it only echos what is on main one, but it would be awesome if I could split what is being looked at. If anyone knows on that reply-I plan to try hooking that up this summer. If interested I can come back and post my results. I live in Edgewater FL but snowbird north summer months, so I'll be back in fall. Gotta go catch some stripers and bluefin!

I spent a lot of time at Bakers actually! They are very different and I will take Harbour Island all day long because it actually feels like a Bahamian island with all the craziness and imperfections and history. Bakers was built from the ground up to be a private/exclusive escape for the ultra wealthy. Harbour Island, not so much. While both are high-end places with excessive amounts of money, they are extremely different. I enjoy both, but would take HI over Bakers for trips all day. I didn’t even mention the culinary scene, the bar scene, etc. on HI.

I would strongly disagree with you on overpriced. With current pricing they are pretty on par with other top-tier/high-end CCs in this size range. Obviously the Sea Hunts, Cobias, Sportsman’s, etc are a lot cheaper but they are also nowhere near the boat. You are paying for a top quality product and you get what you pay for. An Albury is a lifetime boat that you can hand down to your kids and they can hand down to their kids. I and many others highly value quality and and build quality and are willing to pay for it. There is a reason why a lot of people keep these boats for a lifetime. Not to mention they will outride everything else haha When it comes to the wet comment, all small CCs are wet in any sort beam wind. The Albury is definitely a low freeboard boat with no flare at all but I’m not going to argue haha

On a real boat, it'll only turn one way in reverse. I have a 24 deep v and it only goes one way in reverse. Yours is more flat bottomed so yours will comply with you, but not if you have 24 degrees of dead rise and a heavier type of boat.

That is not true whatsoever. I am on different boats all the time for my work and that statement is simply false. The greatest reason for sub par reverse performance is because of prop choice. Props drastically change not only performance in forward, but also in reverse. I have a 16 Egret with an extremely shallow dead rise and I have a pretty low pitched 4-blade on her and I borderline can not even control her in reverse. I keep that prop though because I love the stern lift and the ability to hop up on plane in no time if I need to to get off a flat. We also have a 23 Reef Runner which has a full 24 degrees of dead rise and I can back that boat up like a dream. If I changed the prop that could change in an instant. Prop walk is a real thing and is the biggest factor when it comes to performance in reverse.

By far the best video I've seen on single engine docking. I ran into the same situation with my boat pinned against the dock from the wind and river current. The next time I'll know how to correct that problem when departing the dock.

Thanks Nick from Ireland, your video is very good explaining how to dock a boat, it's been very helpful...I've got a Quicksilver 505 with centre console, not a very big boat but I get a bit stressed when docking.
