A fun layout but tough. Pit entry is tricky, easy to come too fast. Limited lane change chances can get one easily trapped. Have Fun.
Unboxing the hot new car

The Carrera KTM X-Bow GTX (#31012). Awesome looking car. I love it. Good detail inside and out. 👍👍 Be aware the color is a hotter orange (on 31012) than Leb picture shows. Cincy Slots picture is more accurate. The finish is matte. Car's front drags on 2/30 High Bank. Original tires were HORRIBLE (come on Carrera!). Zero grip and hard. Full 2 seconds (19th) behind leader on my current 74' track ...

A fun (to me) layout with various shapes of turns. Many turns in the 74'-6" (2271 cm) course. All 18 of my cars have run in the 8's. From the Porsche 911 @ 8.500 sec to my White AMG @ 8.896, a packed field till the Lamborghini Huracan posted a 8.208.

A fun layout designed for my space. 100 plus feet of racing tension and fun. It's not a mouse, I have a squeaky contoller, I need to fix that. I don't have the 'Pit Stop' track addition. Is it worth it?

Which pawer supply are you using
Try this for ideas. X switch with 2 curves at one end only pulling a single lane off. Use to create islands with 2 more switches . Max cops and robbers chase and outside loop for racing all loops.
Interesting idea. I can't afford the parts or have the space to make it work, but I like the idea. Thanks for the comment.
man its like rush hour!!
LOL! Thanks for the commment. 👍
Good evening. Getting into slot cars. Just saw this video. Having a hard time making out the parts list for Multi Level #1. It's a great layout for my space if you could clear up the parts list for me. Great video.
Hi Mark, thanks for the nice comment. The parts list is: standard straight 26 (lane changes = 2 straights) 1/3 straight 2 1/4 straight 2 Power terminal 1 1/30 curve 8 (could be 6 - 1/30 & 19 - 1/60 but the list is what I had) 1/60 curve 18 2/30 (banked or not) 6 4/15 curve 2 (I got these at CincySlots, they sell single track pc. A pkg is 12 pc) Have fun. 👍
Cool vid, Nice set of layouts! Making a new track is a lot of fun. Gave you a Sub. :) Race On!
Thanks & Have fun.
Interesting idea! I may give this a go! Race On!
Looks good
Thanks. It was fun.
I have a question how did you move all the cars at once because I didn’t see any remotes for the cars
Digital slotcar tracks allow you to set up cars to run by themselves, ghost cars they are usually called. They can change lanes randomly or you can cover the sensor and make them stay in one lane. They only go the speed you set for them. Two cars were being controlled by wireless controllers, the rest were "ghost cars" in the video. Analog slotcar tracks allow only one car per lane - 2 cars on a 2 lane track with each bound to their lane. With Carrera digital you can race up to 6 controlled cars and 2 ghost cars at once on a 2 lane track with cars free to change lanes for passing or blocking. Thanks for watching.
@@zoskinso3420 Cool
i will try thanks
Hope it works for you. 👍
Cool video, I appreciate you taking the time to make this.
Thanks and you're welcome. It's all part of the fun for me. 👍
That was bad ass!
😄 Thanks for the comment.
I built the HiBank #1. Thank you so much!!!
Nice! Thanks for commenting. Have fun.
oppps sorry missed the first part of your video told me everything i needed to know .
😁👍
what numbered track was used for your banked curve good looking layout sa well ,what was the overal length and width of the track ... thx for viewing my inquiry
Thanks for your question. The banked curves are 2/30. The size is 16 feet 6 inches x 6 feet 9 inches. The track length is 84 feet. 👍
@zoskinso3420 - Thank you for doing this. I bought a D132 set during the Covid lockdowns but never had the room to keep a track up any longer than a few days. I now have the room for a permanent setup with limits but can build any of the plans you showed and I am stoked! Thank you su much, Im sure I am not the only grateful viewer. You replied to a comment indicating the track inventory. Did you build all those layouts with that inventory or was it for one plan in particular? Thanks in advance. - Nick
Hi Nick. I think that track inventory will build all of these layouts. Adding 2 more 1/4 straights (4 total) should build the layouts thru #18. CarreraSlots.com, LEB Hobbies and Cincyslots.com are a good source for parts. CincySlots sells single pieces, handy because I didn't want to pay for 12 - 4/15 pc when I wanted 4. Thanks for the nice comment. Good luck with the layout and Have Fun.
I just ordered some various tracks from LEB. I’ve used them before, great to do business with.
love the layout! nice flowing track
Thanks for watching & commenting. It has been a fun layout. 😊
Looks like a fun layout. I like the four lane going in the same direction.
The '4' lane esses is the idea I designed the layout around. It's been fun. Thanks for watching & commenting. 👍
This is one of my favorite cars.
I have 8 or 9 GT3 cars that take turns being my 'favorite', X-Bow is one of them. Right now it's the yellow C8.R (awesome headlights) & #51 488 Ferrari. Tail lights on the X-Bow are weak only real gripe. Thanks for commenting.
@@zoskinso3420 My XBOW has the same issue with the weak tail lights.
Layout size? I’m looking for a good layout to fit in a 13’x5’ area.
This one is 17'-11" x 6'-7". I've posted 6 close to that size but maybe 5 or 6 inches bigger. Layouts are #'s 1, 6, 18, 25, 29, and 35. Good luck.
What scale? 1/32? I have a bunch of Strombecker track and cars in 1/32 I bought 15-20 years ago, just been sitting. We had them way back in the 60’s when we were kids!
1/32 scale. Break em out see if they still work. 😉
Happy holidays🎄
Thanks 👍😊
Nice video! Thanks for clearing up what track pieces are needed!. Just subbed!🏁
Thanks for the nice comment. 👍
crazy stuff! but what about those wonderful overpass supports?? 3D printed? can I order some?! :) Carrera supports are pretty worthless

Sehr gut gemacht.
Thank you.
Thanks
thanks for these good ideas. Can you tell me if it would be worthwhile to buy a cheaper 1/24 digital track and expand it with a cheaper Evolution track?
Thanks anton, I think basic Carrera track is the same for digital and evolution, I don't know of cheaper compatable track parts. Usually cheaper to find expansion packs that fit your needs and add single pieces as needed to complete layout. I designed several layouts and made an inventory of what I needed and shopped for deals when I started.
@@zoskinso3420 thank you for your thoughts. I guess it's good to buy little by little, depending on how much money I can save. I should probably also look for used tracks. however, I am a rather poor student 😺
everything around the track will also be important to me. well youtube.com/@BoonesSlotCarGarage is a great help too 🌳🌲⛰️🏎️🚙🛣️💕

Well toys are fun. You don't ever see any real racetracks with many curves and lifts and such. Hopefully you will enjoy your toys, and stop feeling that others will find it impressive.
Lol. 💯% Right! These ARE fun toys. However: Many race circuits have many turns and elevation changes (overpasses, not so much). I do enjoy these toys, they are fun. Not trying to "impress" anyone, simply sharing how I have fun with slotcars. Thanks for the comment & watching. 👍

You have a very nice track love your videos!!
Thank you very much. It's fun driving, racing and sharing the different layouts i make. 🙂
what software are you using to build your layout ?
Hi, I use the 'Carrera Track Planner' a free app. Took a minute to figure out but it works. Thanks for your question. Many layout ideas can be found here: www.smartrace.de/en/track-layout-database/
@@zoskinso3420 Thanks, you should do a video about Carrera Track Planner how to use it
@@yvesmayer3473 Lol. I thought about it but do not know how to produce it. 😁 If you try to use it I may be able to answer questions. 👍
great set up!
Thanks, it's been a blast to drive.
Wow. If you don't mind, we're new to this. What are you using for the track supports in the center of some of the elevated track sections? Is there an app for the Carrera track designs? Thanks.
Hi Suzukii, I make all my track supports out of MDF (fiberboard), scrap wood and styrofoam. You can see them in my video 'Carrera track shoulders, mods, jumpers' starting @ 2:01. There are several track design apps available. I use a free app I downloaded, Carrera Track Planner, it is not great but does work for my needs. Also visit the SmartRace website, at the bottom of the page is a link to many track design ideas. SmartRace is a race and timing management app (about $12.00) I highly recommend for Carrera. Thanks for watching & commenting.

Thank you. I've been having fun with this layout. 👍
Awesome track . When I get my Carrerra set in I’ll be using one of yours for sure
Thank you. I think you will love it.👍
You’ve done a great job on all the layouts I like them all. Very creative. Did you use track design software or is it trial and error? Thank you!!!
Thanks so much. I usually imagine layouts and how they fit in my space, sometimes make a sketch of the idea. Then I use the 'Carrera Track Planner' to adjust the layout to make the ends meet.
Thats a really nice layout. How many of those cars are autonomous? Does the track stop the race when a car deslots? Im just learning about these digital tracks.
Rob, thanks. All but one car were autonomous. Track does not stop the race when a car deslots, but with the 'SmartRace' app I use, with your phone you can start & stop the race remotely.
This track is frickin awesome 💪😎... Thanks for sharing 👍

Hi I may just be a noon but how do you attach the guardrails for digital 1/32 track pieces I can’t figure them out thanks!
*noob
Hi Andrew, Carrera guardrails snap into either the track or track shoulders. Carrera borders, while necessary for the best racing experience, are expensive so all of mine are homemade. I make them from MDF and build guardrails that I screw or glue to the shoulder pieces. I make wire 'hooks' to secure them to the track.
Nice track, looking to get into Carrara where do you recommend one purchase track.
HI, thanks for watching. I've bought from: Carreraslots.com - good inventory, good prices, some single pieces available, must pay shipping Lebhobbies.com - as above but free shipping over $100. Cincyslots.com - bought cars & single track pieces here. Ebay. com & Amazon.com. Some good deals sometimes found here.
