Very good however, don't you need to do 2 newspaper advert for 28 days. Are we not supposed to stamp the trustees from at the court? Do you need to apply to the registrar and wait for approval before starting the registration proper? I need answers to this question?

Thanks so much ma 🙏 Summary: When selecting trustees or board of directors don't choose family so that it wouldn't look to donors like you are running a family business. You should have a lawyer, an accountant and someone with NGO experience on your board. As a founder it's important to be a constituted member of the board so that you can have a say in the governance of the organization. Trustees don't earn long-term salary. As an Executive director who is also a trustee can't earn long-term salary. An executive director who isn't also a trustee should endeavor to have a founder's clause written in the constitution stating clearly who the founder is. An executive director who isn't also a trustee is a member of the board ex officio, therefore can earn a long-term salary. Also an executive director of an NGO If you file tax return, FIRS asks for Trustees and directors updated tax clearance certificate.
