I love this genus! I caught Pristurus rupestris at Wadi Rum in Jordan and found Pristurus celerrimus in the United Arab Emirates. Haven't seen Pristurus carteri in the wild, but it looks like this guy is doing great in your care.

Good video. That being said, you shouldn't use the red light, it's very bad for their eyes. And your UVB light to be closer to your hear light. When they bask they should be getting UVB at the same time. With the Reptisun 10.0 it should be under your screen. With Aracadia UVB, it's stronger, so you can put it on top. The screen blocks a large percentage of the UVB light

Great video! I have a brand new juvenile Blue Tongue Skink, barely even used to me yet and still very nervous. I saw ONE mite crawl across her head randomly the other day and it has been chaos since then trying to take care of everything without any reptile mite treatment available in my rural town. (I'm just going to start with using Dawn dish soap and F10 veterinary solution that I already have initially.) It's bad enough dealing with this, but she's not even tame yet and I feel like just by soaking her in a tub once and taking everything out of her enclosure (which she had just gotten used to) I've lost her trust. She's been hiding constanty and is skittish around me now. Breaks my heart. Haven't even done any bathing or taken her out to clean more deeply yet. 😞 We were doing so well before this! It's so hard to have to sacrifice all of that effort to socialize her, but I guess I just have to hope that I can do it all over again eventually.... Do you think I can just soak her in some warm water with a little bit of Dawn dish soap and a couple drops of F10 and clean her cage and stuff that way a few times, or do i have to risk driving in the dark on icy roads to go to another town to try to find reptile mite spray, or order online and wait up to 2 weeks for the products to arrive? 😖

That was straight up Jurassic Park scene when they were running around eating! They look like mini raptors! Although it sucks they have to fight to survive & Coexist It's a good lesson for us all 🙏
