That’s not a summer sualt it’s a tuck good job!
This helped me learn when j slowed it down thank u now my friends want to learn😊
Brilliant well done 👍
Bruh that’s called a backflip 💀💀💀
hello, I am wondering how to get tighter shapes in any somie especially (pike or tuck)baranis or tuck/pike backs Any tips?
Hi, Shaping should start with basic shapes with line outs. Developing the core muscles will also help with shape transitions. At take off, make sure you are not throwing the head back in back somi, or leaning too far forward in forwards somi. Bad take off positions make it difficult to engage the core and get tighter shapes, resulting in poor flight phases . Share your concerns with your coach and ask for more support to improve. Hope this helps.
Nice

She's a teacher at my school...
wheres the arm set at? her body was not straight her arms were in wrong position
Goz cum to west end I'll shag this bird
She didn't even do them right lol
how do u know? are u the master of trampolins???
Swivel Hips is supposed to be seat landing, half twist to seat landing - half twist land on feet
that's what I said where r I from maybe it's different in different places
+john smith A swivel hips Is a Seat Landing Half Twist to Seat Landing to feet. There is no Half Twist jump. The skill you described is a Swivel Hips Half Twist to feet. In a some competition routines you will see a Seat Landing Half Twist to Seat Landing Half Twist to Feet, Which is were the confusion comes from! :)
Nope; in trampolining, a half twist is a jump with 180 degrees twist. In gymnastics, this skill is what us trampolinists call a barani (a front somersault with a half twist). A friend of mine discovered the difference when attending her Level 3 module 4 course which is shared between disciplines. She was surprised to hear the gymnast had any rotation in a skill that is purely twisting; then we discovered the issue.
Although it looks as if it's a little under rotated she did well to keep it controlled, maybe straightening up her legs/arms, pointing her toes/fingers could be the next step and making sure she gets that right amount of rotation in, which I'm pretty sure she's managed to master seeming this was what? 5 years ago? lol :)
Perhaps she could try reaching into the straddle before creating the shape, and making sure that she makes contact/touches either her shins or toes when in the straddle position. Fingers and toes could be a little bit more pointed also and maybe a slightly longer hold on that line out before bringing her arms back up.
Couldn't of gave a better stretch there when going into that seat landing, really nice reach up, with straight legs/arms, pointed toes and pointed fingers, lovely, the only thing i can comment on, on how she could improve this is by perhaps just trying to keep her legs straight when in the seat landing position on the bed, apart from that, she's really got this move sorted :)
on takeoff it looks like she's leaning ever so slightly forward, which could result in the fact that her arms looked like they were thrown back a little and not straight up, and possibly when she made contact with the bed was on her toes, however she recovered it well by tucking in nice and tight, and staying controlled in the air, and not rushing the move, I think maybe she executed from the move just that little bit to early however as it looks like she's trying to catch up at the end with her legs, the fact that she stayed in the centre though was quite impressive, as sometimes those little things can cause people to lose control, rush the front somersault and possibly travel forward, or push there bottom out and end up flying backwards - I should know been there, done that lol. - Im training to be a coach in less than two weeks, and these videos have really helped me a lot :)
Im just being critical here seeming I'm tryna watch a lot of trampolining videos atm as i have a coaching exam in less that 2 weeks, surely to have produced the best pike jump here, before the pike jump was performed, she should have reached up into the move, and made contact/touch just below her knee's or if possible her toes, also i noticed that her hands were slightly bent inwards, surely they should have been flat, and stayed by her side for a little bit longer after lining out before bringing her arms back up :)
How do you do this skill? Please give me some tips
Wrong, arms are not going up before the straddle, and toes are not as pointed as they could be, Tip: Arms Up, middle then down
this is incorrect because she is pushing down her shoulder at the start of the somersault as for you need to lift up before rotating, and her legs are not completely straight so the only reason why she is touching her pike is because she is bending .
she should not be getting her backward rotation thought her hips being pushed forward she should be keeping her core tight and lifting up to have a correct rotation.
today when i was doing trampolining in class we were learning on how to do the back land and it was a complete epic fail and i injured myself because when i landed on my back i did just literally bend in half like if i was doing a pike and my knees did hit my face really bad and now my back and neck hurts :/
You should tighten your legs and body
Not sure what you mean by flatten her feet? The flight phase of any skill is predetermined during the take off phase so once you are mid-flight there is nothing you can do to change direction/momentum. You can only change speed of rotation by changing body shape (inertia) Learners usually drop their height when learning a new skill. The key is to master the skill from small/reasonable height for the skill being learnt, then gain height as you progress and gain confidence. thanks 4 commenting
The hips are moving upwards and forwards to create backwards rotation, she leans too far back with the shoulders at take off which causes her to travel backwards. If her hips where pushing only forwards she would of gained and landed in front of the cross. Thanks for takinng the time to comment.
If she flattens her feet faster when in the air she would not travel on her prelim bounces also she needs to take her height up by bending her legs as she is coming down. watch videos of the chinese and you wil see that their bounces before they start their routines are not at all straight but get them up to a great height. Height is the key to quote Jack Kelly (sort of) you must be at 100% of your height and do the sumersualt at 75% when you first learn and take it up to 100% when confident
thanks for the advice i will tell my coach next time i'm there :)
Hi, Its hard to provide individual advice because we cannot see what is happening, but one good coaching method would be to go back a step, maybe practice hands and knees turn over to back and seat to help build confidence in turning over without hitting your head. Explain your fears to your coach they may be able to suggest alternative coaching methods to overcome the fear and master the FTOB.
I learnt these a couple of weeks ago when trampolining but I recently hit my head and now can't seem to get the confidence to do it properly again I just can't do it anymore :( any advice??
31 is impressive. I did have one pupil who could do 50 in a row at the age of 13 who was based in the Isle of Man, let us know when you break our old club record.
I can do 31 in a row (my best score) :)
Ahahah is that all u can do
go look at my trampolining videos:)
You need to straighten your right leg and lift it up more. Your arms must be up before you jump as in your pike video.
I always twist too early when I try to do thin
yep
well done, can you do it with straight legs and stay in the middle?
I learnt this when I was 9 took me 2 days to do it
to archy
It may be beneficial to learn the routine from back to front to help you land that last skill, so practice as follows tuck jump, somi half twist, tuck, somi back landing half twist, tuck, somi pike jump, back landing half twist, tuck, somi and so on until you have nailed the whole routine. You are getting lots of somi practice then so it should improve as you practice. If you think about lifting your shoulders at take off it will improve all three phases of the skill.
Well Done! Front Somi's are great. Make sure you practice them lots and add the front somi in to your routines before moving on to the next skill which will more than likely be a back somi or pike front somi. Keep in touch and let us know how you are getting on. TC
In the UK we call a front somersault with half a twist a 'barani'. This video shows a half twist jump.
thts not a half twist! a half twist is a front flip then you twist around near the ending!!!!!!!
lol i always have to arm set before i somi
Its not that hard darlin x
@TrampolineCentral full forward flip
