Cocaine is a performance enhancing drug duuuuuh.
As a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan, I couldn't help but relish the delicious irony that the final game played by an AFL team was against the franchise that was initially going to be an part of the AFL. There ya go vikings, a nice solid butt kicking from your "friends" in the AFL who found out on the eve of the first AFL draft ( in Minneapolis) that your word was worthless.
I was lucky to see him run at Arlington Park after he won the Triple Crown. He won by a mile.
Pryor was at his best here, as a lightweight (135lbs). He was faster at this weight than he was as a junior welterweight. The only reason that he moved up was because the so called lightweight “champions” at that time (WBA Ernesto Espana and WBC Jim Watt) would NOT fight him. He was offered a title shot with the WBA champion, Antonio Cervantes, and he became the champion.
My family built those cars. Howard Jensen was the stunt coordinator and my "Uncle" (close business/family friend). Hollywood editing makes it look like they both rolled but they didn't. Gary had a hand injury that prevented him from hitting the button taped into his hand so his cannon didn't go off and his car didn'f roll. We reset and he went solo. That was a fun day on set, one of the best I experienced. Shot at Disney Ranch in Placerity Canyon, CA. May 6, 1974. We spent many days there shooting Dukes as well since we built a bunch of stuff for that show.
One of my hero’s!
The idea of throwing overhand rights to nullify Holmes jab is good, Ali needed more power. One overhand right in round one was good
Busting Blues Rape Show Circusses...Banksy who the hell am i anyway? WAIBTW
OJ WAS MADE FOR TELEVISION!!! HE HAS CHARISMA OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!
Every team needs a guy like this! Just like lambier
he was SO funny.
Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman he was hilarious in it & Fernwood Tonite too.
"🎶I threw my...I threw my...I threw my...I...My...I threw my driiink... across the lawn🎶 Here he comes. He's so happy. He just sold the house!"...As irreverent an entertainer who ever lived. Thank you, Mr. Mull...
He was my hero. I'm half Mexican like Mr. Kapp. Growing up Joe Kapp and Anthony Quinn were my heroes
So sweet🤗!!!
He was hilarious. It was exciting when he appeared on the scene.
Perfect, thanks 🤙🏽
Remember when the term "talent" had a definition?
Fantastic man. Rip Martin Mull
I have an album he did.. Martin Mull and his Fabulous Living Room Furniture.
He is alive yet, if not google has not heard.
Jesus. Funniest woman ever. 😂😂❤
was actually watching clips from Fernwood Tonight over the last few months and was caught off guard by the news of his passing. ( *He was great on Arrested Development as well)
Dec 10 1979
He intros the band
I have a Greg Allman band where intros the band ....hilarious!!!!!!
Dude, do you have this whole documentary? It would be so great to watch it again. NBC aired it in 1989 for the 25th anniversary of this fight. My dad taped it and I wore out that Betamax tape.
Had no idea he was that talented
Johnny dink
That man was a genius.
Damn, I miss this guy. RIP Martin
"they dropped those child molesting charges against you" wow, that was a nasty thing to yell at someone in the audience.
Just when it seems his guitar's just a prop, Mull plays some killer riffs.
As a 12 year girl at that time I was infatuated with him. My siblings & I would race in our yard and re-enact his races, lol
I wish I could find a recording or something that would give me the entire folk song, I have searched for The Fox Huntin' Song, and cannot find it anywhere. I heard this song about your grandmother when it first came out, and have loved it ever since.
I thought he was good until I discovered Sabicas.
In Memoriam....
Hail yeah !
"This is not the first time it's happened." Beautifully dark!
RIP. I saw him in 1978 at The Centennial Hall in Tucson. Very funny. He will be greatly missed.❤🌈
I consider myself lucky to have seen Martin Mull perform back around 1974, when I was still in high school. He played in a little college coffee house on the campus of Fairley Dickenson University in Teaneck, NJ. where patrons sat cross-legged on the floor at low round tables. He wasn't nationally famous then, touring by himself as "Martin Mull and his Fabulous Furniture". He had one or two albums out, and his acting career was yet to take off. A high point was him performing his ode to ex-hippies, "Let's Be Normal".
so great
Could anyone make out what the heckler said?
Loved him in Empy Nest, RIP.
Here's hoping someone puts the 1980 HBO special 'Here Comes Summer' up on YT.
This was Martin Mull's literal audition for Fernwood Tonight & Norman Lear. Recorded at The Roxy in Hollywood Ca (as told to Kevin Pollak on his 'chat show' podcast #64 on TH-cam) At some time in this 'audition' Martin stands up and sez,, 'Do I get the Job" ? RIP Sir
Interesting! Because he did use bits of this on that show, e.g. the dressing room we'll call it that, benefit of the doubt, and a couple more. R.I.P.
Thanks, fun fact
This guy wrote the book on being disingenuous. His audience loved his insincerity.
RIP Mr. Mull. Thanks for the laughs, music, and art.
THE MOST UNDER APPRECIATED Artist of the 20th/21st centuries!

THAT'S what I THOUGHT! Then I said, "Nahhhh" No idea why, though 😀
