You should try out the OJ Keyframe wheels. It's another soft wheel, but very good!

You can slam mini logo then say you skate tensor, the other budget brand. Ive been meaning to get a pair of mini logo to try out but used to skate tensor i had the old rodney mullen trucks with the nose/tail slide pice. I loved them

it's weird, i learned how to ride a rip-stick in the summer going into 7th grade and rode them here n there till 2015 then i got my own and at 28 i can still ride it decently well but i was never able to pick up riding a skateboard

I know that they're not "normal" trucks, but you could get cnc machined downhill longboarding racing trucks which can be up to hundreds of dollars each (for example aera cnc trucks, where 2 is $500+)

The wheels for this came up as some of the absolute cheapest on ebay and then I went to their site and saw completes on sale for *$25* so I appreciate the vid! The squeakiness problem is usually more of a truck issue though and it can be fixed by putting wax shavings in the pivot cups.

When buying a skateboard complete you really just wanna put you're dollar towards a good set of titanium trucks, swiss bearings. The board is taking most of the damage so you can cheap out on that abit the wheels are relatively the same just differing in price usually depending on size or the technology you can build a really good setup at your local shop for a little over $200 bucks the trucks and bearings will be the most expensive

I want to get a skateboard for a child . What should I look for

I'm a relatively big guy (6'1" 250lb) and have never skated before. Would you recommend something bigger than 8" ? Like a 10" board if i just want to cruise around my neighborhood?

People's skulls are a lot stronger than they probably realize. I have nosedived straight onto my head onto concrete off of a 4 foot tall ledge before, and I was not only perfectly fine, I literally felt no pain at all. Really my head had to have fallen a distance of nearly 10 feet high to the ground when you factor in my height plus the skateboard plus the ledge. I still never wear a helmet unless I'm trying to skate vert or trying something new that feels sketchy with a high tumbling-forward-or-backward risk factor
