"Bon Cajun" Accordion
A Cajun-style accordion made by the Larry Miller of Iota, Louisiana. Key of 'C', black lacquer finish with fantastic party colored bellows. It's got a nice tone. The tunes are Patassa Two-step and Valse de La Belle.

An older Cajun-style accordion made by the late Charlie Ortego of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Key of 'C', figured walnut with red bellows. It's got a nice mellow tone. The tunes are Tee Maurice and Bosco Stomp.

Elana Mann's "Untitled (Listening Device 1)"

This was a temporary exhibition of Elana Mann's Untitled (Listening Device 1) at Otis College. You could hear the acoustically amplified traffic sounds with the earpieces attached with rubber hoses to each of the cones. I recorded the sound by cupping my microphone between two earpieces. The college is at 9045 Lincoln Blvd, Los Angeles and the sculpture was on the lawn outside the Ben Maltz Gal...

A beautiful three year old Cajun-style Martin Accordion. Made by Junior Martin of Scott, Louisiana. Key of 'D', curly maple wood with red mahogany stain and unique blue bellows. It's got a nice full tone. The tunes are Johnny peut pas danser, and Valse de la vie.
Chula Vista Aeolian Harp

Ross Barrable's 2001 sculpture "To Remember Me" is an aeolian harp in San Diego's breezy South Bay, with 3 rows of strings. There's enough wind that it's seldom silent for long. You can hear it if you get close, but it's not louder than the traffic noise. I recorded the sound with a directional microphone and boosted the level so you can hear it. Not necessarily
You almost never use the lowest button anyway so not much difference

how to make it? i make to make this.. is so..... WEATHER-PROOF. i love this... and especially.. what is the string it using????
for some reason the vibration of that really hit me in an uncomfortable way. Fascinating how sound can do that.
Too way many strings. Makes it sound like horror sci-fi ambiance.
