มุมมอง 676ปีที่แล้ว
Rehersal at Chuck's house in 1991 with the line up that would record the LACK OF COMPREHENSION video and do the INHUMAN TOUR. Chuck Schuldiner - guitars Paul Masvidal - guitars Scott Carino - bass Sean Reinert - drums Enjoy it! (I do not own any rights)
DEATH (HUMAN era) rehersal with Steve DiGiorgio
มุมมอง 3.3Kปีที่แล้ว
Rare video of DEATH rehearsing at Chuck's house in early 90's. This is the line up that would record the HUMAN album with Chuck (Steve DiGiorgio - from SADUS Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert - from CYNIC). Enjoy it!

Some DEATH footage at Morrisound Recording during HUMAN recording sessions in 1991. This is a piece of Death Metal history! Enjoy it!
This line up was a dream team!
This is gold.
Can't really watching without tears. They created a masterpiece and Chuck is an all time legend!

You can totally hear the pantera influence. Horns up dudes!
Apparently Borivoj Krgin behind camera ... now the man behind Blabbermouth.
These guys were way ahead of their time 🤘🏽
Who's old enough to remember pencil fights?
So Chuck is 24 here and he's making perhaps the best death metal album ever
I bought this album when it came out. I was blown away by it. I loved the leprosy and spiritual healing albums but human took it to another level. Is that mike browning that was hanging out and talking to chuck?
Thanks for this! Whos the dude recording and talking?
How is it that Chuck didn't know the difference between new or old VH?? I mean...did he just fly in from Bed Rock? He knew it was Sammy (D.L.R. owns that position in VH BTW....) isnt that enough of a clue as to new or old??
Wow...the creativity and quality of playing surpasses a lot of things done today. Technology was always around but people used it as a tool and aid...now its used to create. I am even noticing the quality of the drum playing, its fast like todays standards. The tremolo picking on the guitar sounds much more warmer and resonates nice! Vocals are nice and aggressive too. It ended way to soon these guys are icons.
unreal album. game changing drumming. every song is great, no filler at all. amazing music, and amazing lyrics. a complete masterpiece
Ďakujem že ste boli❤
love the friend who always had a camera in hand, years later is priceless 😍
It's a masterpiece. Chuck: "It's not good enough!"

was this to tape or were they using pro tools at this time? never mind. tape.... wait it looks like they were using something digital
Analog tape , Pro Tools wasn't out yet I don't think
14:48 Mitch Harris from Napalm Death just calling in. The group had worked on and recorded Harmony Corruption at Morrisound. This was the first album to feature Mitch who is still with the band to this day.
It's always nice when the energetic guy walks in and everyone else is stoned. And they're talking about getting more dope. Geeez LOL!! I love metal, but wow the lifestyle some of these guys led. 5:05

They once knew flattening of emotions...
Saw Scott yesterday…
Chuck is happy♥️
Great material!
Scotty was the master at getting past tape saturation. Back then there was literally not enough material to magnetize on a consumer cassette tape to hold the wall of sound found in these 90s death metal bands. I imagine, and what it sounds like, is he compressed the final mix, then ran it through an exciter so you got the appearance of dynamic range. Its very apparent on Cynic's Focus. What a time. Oh and look. Browning stopping by!
You are describing DBX noise reduction encoding/decoding or a similar process. It is a unique process that uses compression and expansion "compander" to reduce the noise floor and provide a net gain in headroom of the program material. It was available during the time of the "Human" recording sessions. Whether Mr. Burns used it or not is a standing question. Also worthy of mention, tape formulation improved greatly during the late 80's... this in combination with DBX processing, in the studio and in your walkman, most likely resulted in a great sounding "wall of sound" you are referring to. cheers from an old audio engineer.
I fukin LOVE these comments
Human was the first album i bought on vinyl. This one will always hold a special spot for me
Talk about a kick in the head, I want a fucking do over. Rufus take me back to 1989NOW!!

Haven’t listened to that album in ages!! Brutal!! I remember the exact moment I first heard Death! Scream Bloody Gore absolutely blew my fucking mind! Chuck was the most amazing guitarist I’d ever heard. This video was ‘91. I was only 19! I had hair down to my ass, wore a leather motorcycle jacket, a concert t shirt, and blue jeans every single day! Woke up with a joint, and went to bed with one! Now I’m a grandpa!
I was right there to in that time I had just heard slayers sessions in the abyss and then Death scream bloody gore fucking gave me chills his playing and guitar what a musican and cool dude meet him years later partied and hung out a few times in Florida I was in Daytona he in Tampa shortly later after seeing him for the last time I heard he had cancer I was going to try and see him but it was to late he was gone RIP Brother Chuck Gone But not Forgotten
