How to Fish as a Co Angler
In today's video I go over the top 5 or 6 lures that you can carry as a co-angler in a bass tournament that will maximize your chances of being competitive on the water while being mindful of the fact that you are not the one in control of the boat, and respectful of the one who is. Remember, it's a give and take relationship out there but at the end of the day its about having FUN!

Great, great tip. I love the idea. What do you think of the Berkley Sick Fish? I've not done too well with them, but I'm anxious to try this with them. The Trash Fish is a little pricey. But I've got tons of other swimbaits to try this with, so thank you very much for the video.
I seriously don’t even understand why people are so concerned with the trigger pull etc. any gun you buy STOCK will do what you need it to do. Upgrading guns is worthless for the everyday guy. It’s not going to matter if it’s polished or not if you need to protect yourself. Everyone just NEEDS to find anything to upgrade just so they can show it off to their friends and others at the range. All these upgrades these days aren’t worth the money or the time when it comes down to protecting yourself. 😂😂😂😂 people go way overboard and because of these morons is the reason why guns have gotten out of control cost wise. If you’re a comp shooter that’s different but your everyday guy that just has it sitting on your nightstand every night it’s worthless dropping hundreds of dollars on crap you don’t really need. If you can’t use the gun out of the box then you shouldn’t have one. Too many people are sissyfying these guns because the trigger pull is too hard, 😂😂😂😂 grow some balls is what I say!
Great 11:00 video but doesnt show how to replace the trigger unlike the title suggest
So I bought the Timney alpha trigger but I want to switch back to the stock internals and just keep the trigger. Do I have to polish the inside like you have to make that happen?
My sons tried using the latex gloves under their lacrosse gloves in early spring but they said it did not work unfortunately.
What did you use to do the polishing? Paste? Sandpaper? Or other?

Great video. Can you list the components? Hooks and weights?
My advice is to try a few different hooks and weights that you think would work well with the swimbaits that you throw. Every swimbait and angler are different. I did mine this way for the video but I frequently use different hooks and weights for different swimbaits. This was more about the method than the specifics.

💯. If someone is going to take on the responsibility of being a gun owner. Train, train, and train some more. Know your firearm inside and out. I noticed that on my XR920P. A lot of grit and sponge feeling. I noticed on mine a few times during so far 800 rounds. The trigger didn't want to reset. Will see what happens now that i gave it a good once over and cleaning. Maybe after 800 rounds, it just needed a clean.

Shadow Systems has more guns returned because of Timney trigger malfunctions triggers. Leave it alone and keep the warranty. The more you shoot the more it breaks in.
What you said makes zero sense. You can't return a gun to the OEM due to an aftermarket part failure. And I have yet to hear anybody tell me their properly installed timney failed. Not one.
@@Patrick_GarrettI’ve had several problems with my Timney Glock trigger. Now you heard of one. Timney’s going to replace the one I have. I’ve already started the return procedure.
I got a Shadow Systems flat face trigger in my p80. I haven't had any issues with it. Nice video!

Very Interesting vid! I have a MR Elite (off duty) and XR Foundation (on duty). The XR Foundation trigger BLOWS! Gritty, 3 stages...just nasty. The MR Elite is fine. A few thousand rounds through each. I'm not keen on aftermarket (for me) parts. I've been playing w/ HAND polishing some parts on my PSA Daggers w/ excellent results. I may have developed the balls, to consider doing the same (LIGHT hand polishing that is) on my XR. Although first: I just ordered the Elite trigger system from Shadow. See how that goes. I suppose light deburr hand polishing never hurts regardless. Besides the XR Foundation stock trigger, I have NO complaints about either of these pistols & do enjoy training/shooting them as well as the confident comfort they add as part of a protection system.
Received my Elite trigger group this week. Installed (zero issues), dry fired a few days now, nice improvement on trigger press. I'd say worth it, not perfect but worth it. Noticeably improved trigger while shooting as well. About 200rnds in over last two days, I'd say ready for duty. We'll see how the next few hundred rounds go before deciding on further hand polishing. Most definitely good enough for gov......t work.

I’m actually searching around because I’m having problems with the trigger on my xr, probably close to 1000 rounds and my daily carry all of a sudden the firing pin will not catch the cruciform and not reset, but it happens intermittently. Once every 10 or so shots or dry fires. Just randomly won’t catch. But when it does it is fully captured and all works well, nothing seems bent or really worn, everything inside is spotless. Do you think this would be a connector issue? I was thinking of building a new trigger with a overwatch minus connector, not sure on the bar yet I’ll have to keep doing research (I think I saw glock oem would work) and a timney or ranger proof vex shoe. Looking for any insight on the issue. I’ve spoke with shadow systems and the will 100% fix my gun I’m just weird about mailing a $1200 gun and I would like to upgrade anyway.
My advice is to never turn down an oem fix. Give them an opportunity to do their job. You just might come away happy. If you want to upgrade then upgrade but buy that new gun separately. If you think you are upgrading to buy a different pistol then you are selling an apple to buy an orange. There is no "upgrade" from any pistol. There is only what works for you and what doesn't.
@@Patrick_Garrett definitely don’t want to “upgrade” this is my favorite gun of any I’ve ever had and absolutely fits me like a glove. Sounds cliche but it really feels like it was made for me I have no intentions of getting rid of nor to stop carrying it. I meant upgrade as far as trigger feel and reliability. I do trust me and my family’s life to this weapon everyday and I’ve never ever had a malfunction until now and it just all of a sudden started happening. I just can’t find or see anything out of place or damaged with the gun together or apart with a cut back plate on watching what it’s doing. I’ve just never had to mail a gun so I’m worried because I know how things are treated and have had many things get “lost” and from what I was told it would be direct from me to them both ways so if something did happen in between who would it fall on. That’s what I’m worried about is the shipping part for a oem fix.

Shadow system is Garbage I kept having a dead trigger - reached out to shadow system they said they never heard of any trigger issues and I have a few videos showing a bad trigger . Long story short shadow system told me to kick rocks so I changed out the trigger for a @RammTactical guy Karl there is the man had me back to lovin my pistol🙌
What do you mean by 'dead'? Like, it wouldn't release the sear?

@danswindowtinting2387 you know, I sometimes forget how much I take for granted what I do for a living. I'm sorry you had that experience, and I'm sure there was a "machinists" fix in there somewhere for you, but I'm glad you got it sorted out. If you got handled wrong, then I would take note of the person who did it and file a complaint. The guys up at that shop take their products and care very seriously as it is the foundation of their business to make parts for that platform. It's the best plastic gun I own.

I have an XR920 and an MR920. My XR trigger is absolute dog sh*t… feels like dragging a screwdriver across asphalt. Changed my trigger shoe. Minimal change. Changed my plunger and spring. No difference. Polished frame where the trigger comes through. Helped a little. I’m out of ideas…..
Have you contacted shadow systems and had them repair it before you changed anything? They have an amazing customer service center, idk how they would feel about any parts having already been changed tho. I'd be willing to bet they would have fixed it for free. You can always buy a new slide parts kit from them. I could go into crazy detail of what it might be but without the pistol in front of me it would be a waste of time. Call them!

How did you remove the factory trigger shoe? Is it the same procedure for removing a stock Glock trigger shoe?
IIRC there is only a small Pin and spring holding it on. It was very simple. Shadow does a good job simplifying the entire trigger assembly over glock. But the glock oem trigger shoe removal method is identical I believe. Don't be afraid to take out pins and see what stuff is connected to. It's a great way to learn. None of the parts are complicated or expensive so I'd say go nuts. Shadow pistols are much easier to learn on tho, because again, they are all captured springs, so you don't have to worry about something flying across the room.

Thanks for this. I bought a XR920 about 2 years ago. Comparing it to my old Gen. 3 Glock 19 with a Timney trigger, I was really disappointed, though I like the bigger grip size and extra capacity. I had hoped the trigger would improve with use, but it’s not happening. I’ll check on the Timney shoe and do some polishing.

Man I’ve been debating the same FDE between the combat and Elite. Looking at your set up at close. Looks like it’s going to be the combat 😂
The combat has more reciprocating mass, helping to mitigate recoil. I won't engage folks in the comments about that argument tho 😂. I'll make a video on it soon. It has to do with the polymer frame being so light. The combat is the way to go if you want to mitigate 'snap' in the recoil impulse.
Get the Elite. If you have A light attached it’ll help mitigate recoil anyway.
The only advice I can give truly..is if you want to do tournaments make sure your get at least a 75-115 hp..I love my fiberglass 1st boat but it only has a 50hp on it and tops out at 31 witch is great for a beginner but I still have 3 years to pay on it and I regret having a 50 hp ..75hp would have at least got me to 40mph and better take off speed

Looking at a Triton 179 TRX to start fishing again and don’t want to over buy a boat in case I cant use it as much as I want. I have a 760 credit score and interest rates are still stupid because of our idiot president Biden. My son wants to fish tournaments when he gets back from deployment so hoping this boat will do the trick. For another 7K I could get the 18TRX with a 150 but not sure I gain that much. We will try the 179 TRX and if we use it and start winning we will upgrade to something with a 200 plus horsepower. I think the 179 TRX is a better buy then a ranger aluminum for the same price or a Nitro.
Bigger is ALWAYS better in this fishing world. When you get to the loading ramp to put in with that 179 and see beside you that 18TRX, you gonna be wishing you'd have that bigger platform and horses on the back. 7K isn't that much of a hardship in getting what you want IF you can plan and prepare accordingly. I'm after a Ranger Z518, personally, and almost "settled" for a Z185...same hull smaller motor, cheaper price. That 18 TRX will be a lot better for you or anyone when you hit rough water out there...and slinging rods and gear on a 17 footer is almost a sure fire way of snagging your fishing partner's ear. I have both rods. Mojo is amazing for its value. The E6X medium heavy is the most versatile rod I’ve ever used. It’s near perfection honestly!

I have 3 mojo bass baitcasters 7'1" medium with the slx mgl 71, 7'1" medium heavy with the curado DC 151, 7'4 heavy with the team lews custom pro. Love all 3 so i bought a 6'8" mojo bass spinning and im not a fan because my hand sits on threads so im returning it to get the g loomis e6x 6'10" medium spinning shakeyhead rod hopefully it feels great
