Welcome to my new channel. The focus of my channel will VR/360 content. From my flights with the USAF in the T-38C - Talon to VR flights in Digital Combat Simulator (DCS), Star Wars: Squadrons, and my favorite space sim Star Citizen. Currently, my main focus with work is creating VR training content for USAF undergrads earning their wings in Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT) and Pilot Instructor Training (PIT). I have many years in 3D design and multimedia design along with over a decade of music production. I'm really just here to just share some of the few things I enjoy. Feel free to ask any question that you like.

I absolutely do but that falls under official training content with audio and I'm not allowed to share actual training content. I have HUD footage only on my Instagram same name.

Awesome! I’m focusing on getting all the VR training I’ve made on TH-cam. Obviously some overlays I can’t add but overall going to get a lot of knowledge on here.

How come you can lean out of the seat like that, I thought you were firmly strapped in?
We are strapped in very tight, but there are mechanics that the public doesn't usually know about in the seat. We can release a knob that controls the blue/purple parachute risers to give us some wiggle room for these type of engagements so we can look around. Notice the harness straps are attached to the harness. But there are cables that attached to the harness. That's the inertia reel system. If ejection happens it automatically pulls you back very tight. The part that looks loose is the harness connected to the risers that go directly up to the parachute when it deploys.

Don’t you guys wear gloves any more? We definitely did, but didn’t have so many buttons to push 40 years ago. I see a lot of videos with the fingers cut off the gloves also.
There's a reason I zoomed in so you couldn't see the name tag. Lol. A company started making the thumb and fingertip already pre-cut so we weren't cutting them ourselves. They are called Wiley X gloves.

Did you rotate the screen? If you have goggles and sit in an office chair and spin your head back it's as close as you can get to the real thing.

That’s awesome, there are more 360° videos on my page that are POV centered. Glad you enjoyed. Upgraded cockpit from 41 years ago.
We did receiver A/R in the sim when I was checking out in the KC-10 back in 1987. It was realistic. The visual wasn’t as good , of course, the tanker looked like the Hindenburg. It had flat sides like a zeppelin! Still, it was decent training for the real thing.
Yes! Nice Footage. Flew the T-38 between 1985 and 1987 with the 560th.

I just feel like the Air Force should be using mixed realty headsets since it’s much more realistic and 10 times cheaper than the have such a complicated setup like this. Just my opinion.
We do use mixed reality in our VR sims. If you check my Instagram you can see the VR systems. I helped design them. My IG is the same handle.

@@erik33107 it’s mixed reality, you can see everything in your physical cockpit with 4k cameras. It’s what’s around the cockpit that is VR.
