Brew with a view
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 22 เม.ย. 2020
Pause ✋🏻Breath 💨 Be thankful 🙏🏼
Take the time to be you, with a “brew” (☕️🍺🍷) and a "view” (🌊🍃🍁🏔🏞).
It’s tough at times isn’t it. I’ve been realising more and more how important it is to just get out there for a bit of me time. Take your foot off the gas, if only for a little while. Be present in nature, and take a moment to notice the little things.
Set up this channel and my associated Instagram (@_brew_with_a_view) to hopefully inspire people to get outdoors for a little escapism.
What should you expect. Well, many things, from quick walks and mini adventures, to places further afield…….even the odd bit of wild camping, Let’s see what happens!
So go on, get outdoors and recharge!!

Selside Pike, Haweswater, wild camp. Epic sunrise and cloud inversion!!
A quick overnighter. I was in the lakes on my way back down from Scotland. And fancied a break, Haweswater is a 20
MIM detour from the M6. And Selside Pike took about an hour to climb, but I’m slow!!
Would make a great camp sport for a first timer as well.
Lovely sunset. But the icing on the cake was a beautiful sunrise and a clod inversion.
Thanks for watching!!

Cooking Christmas Dinner in a Modified Zebra Billy can Oven in a Winter Woodland
มุมมอง 302ปีที่แล้ว
Something a little different! Cooking a full Christmas dinner on a modified zebra billy can. And trangia. In a winter woodland (it got down to -6c!!) Turkey, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, veg, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. It was delicious. Modified my 14cm zebra billy can to make it as oven like as possible. Changed up the clips as many people do. Bought a little shelf and tray. And added a...
Coire Gabhail or the Lost/Hidden Valley, Glen Coe - Day Hike. Drone footage
มุมมอง 2672 ปีที่แล้ว
Also known as Hidden Valley or Coire Gabhail One of the easier walks in the area. A bit of scrambling and a slightly slipper river crossing but easily done by those in reasonable fitness. It’s about 1 1/4 miles one way to the start of the valley but you can walk a little further in if you want. If you want some history see below: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coire_Gabhail Link to the route below www...
Scottish wild beach camp, Arisaig. Summer sunset, steak, epic drone footage….and a few beers!
มุมมอง 1422 ปีที่แล้ว
First ever beach wild camp. Although you can wild camp in Scotland there were a few signs about by this beach, asking you not to camp on the grass. Hence the confused nervousness at the start 😂 Chilled one. Close to the car, a few beers (can you tell!), steak over the campfire, paddle in the sea all lit by a beautiful sunset. A few issues with the sound, apologies for that. Please stick with me...
SOLO WILD CAMPING - Malham Cove, Yorkshire Dales Beautiful sunrise!!! Epic drone footage!
มุมมอง 4112 ปีที่แล้ว
A quick walk from Malham to Malham cove for a nights wild camp just up from the limestone paving. With Alme epic drone footage! And a stunning sunrise….Not a morning person at all. In that, don’t speak to me until I’ve had two cups off coffee, kind of way. But if this were every morning, you might get a little more than a grunt out of me 😀. Set my alarm for 6 to catch the sunrise (trust me this...

Playa Blanca, Lanzarote - walking the Martian landscape around the Pico Redonda from Femes
มุมมอง 722 ปีที่แล้ว
Something a little different. On a recent family trip to Lanzarote I took a couple of hours away from the sun lounger to walk the Pico Redondo, a circular route just 10 mins drive away from the popular tourist town of Playa Blanca. Starting in the little hillside village of Femes the route takes you up and around the peak through the Martian like landscape with far reaching views across to Arre...
Swanage Railway - train to Corfe Castle on a Heritage Steam Train. Great days out
มุมมอง 333 ปีที่แล้ว
Something a little different … Lovely day out visiting the ruins of Corfe Castle sat among the Purbeck hills, in Dorset. But no walking this time, decided to take the train. But this is no ordinary train! This was a heritage steam train ride on the Swanage railway to Nordon on a Harry Potter style first class carriage. Such a grand way to travel, and so nostalgic. Thoroughly recommended and it’...
Dartmoor wild camp & Teign gorge walk. Castle Drogo to Fingle Bridge. Kelly Kettle. DIY shelter!
มุมมอง 953 ปีที่แล้ว
Solo wild camp numero uno came good in the end. Torrential rain on the way down, tried to put off setting up as long as poss but got there in the end. Rain stopped for a bit to allow a little walk along the river Teign and brew no.1. Went back to cook dinner, and it chucked it down! Quick walk back to the car = make shift tarp shelter made of a picnic blanket and jump leads (note the red lead h...
Walking the Caminito Del Rey, Spain - is it the most dangerous/scary path in the world?
มุมมอง 693 ปีที่แล้ว
Apologies for the silence. Been on a little break, but back now and managed to return with a corker for you all. A walk along, what is reputedly the scariest path In the world……El Caminito del Rey (The King's Little Path). Scary in parts but utterly stunning as well. Not sure how many people who visit southern Spain know about it, but if you do, be sure to check it out. It’s a corker!! The path...
Cornwall South West Coastal Path - Day 3 - Cape Cornwall to Porthcurno (Minack Theatre)
มุมมอง 1193 ปีที่แล้ว
SWCP day 3. Cape Cornwall to Porthcurno. A hop, skip n jump short of 15 miles. A grey day all round, but dry to start. Cape Cornwall alive with wild flowers. A place I must return to for a dip in the tidal pool. Onwards to Sennen via the dunes that rest just behind them. Been so many times, but never taken the time to appreciate its beauty from a northerly perspective. Found a little hamlet of ...
South West Coastal Path. Swanage to Old Harry. Perched on a ledge in the wind!
มุมมอง 693 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Brewers! Took the “little one” with me today. 6 miler from Swanage to Old Harry’s rocks and back. I came to Swanage many times as a child. And my daughter and I have been coming here since she was wee. 8th trip this year. But never have I ever taken the time to take this walk on the South West Coastal Path. So lovely! Especially this time of year with the wild flowers out. A little over a m...
Cornwall South West Coastal Path - Day 2 - Zennor to Cape Cornwall
มุมมอง 2883 ปีที่แล้ว
SWCP day 2. Zennor to Cape Cornwall. Just shy of 13 miles walked. A hard start. Feet took a poundings in the barefoots. But another beaut!! Bosigran - stunning rock formations, a fave with climbers. Treen cove. Some questionable paths if you suffer from vertigo! Portheras cove, or just by it, was the brew stop. Little waterfall I couldn’t resist. Just what the tootsies ordered!! Then on past Pe...
Cornwall South West Coastal Path - Day 1 - St.Ives to Zennor circular walk

The first in a four part series showcasing a series of walks along the South West Coastal path in Cornwall. In this episode I travel from St.Ives to Zennor on the coastal path. And return via a cross county route known as the Tinners Way. Hoping to inspire you to take a much needed rest from the stresses of everyday life. Be it for an hour or longer. Take the same route, or spot a location you ...

Fantastic mate 👌🏻
Thank you!
HI, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your footage of the Yorkshire Dales - particularly the aerial shots and sunrise. I am currently finishing an audio album that combines the natural sounds of the Dales with original orchestral music that I have written and I'll be making a short video to promote the album. I would very much like to include some of your film if that is ok with you? I will of course mention your name in the credits if you are agreeable to this? In the meantime thanks again for sharing these amazing views of Yorkshire with us all - they are spectacular!
Wicked …. I was in the lost valley back in March … and am back up in Highlands Monday 20th .. for 5 days .. hoping to get back there .. was well windy but so worth it …
Made it sound easier than it actually is ... our stomping ground. Many thanks.
Hi, I did the coastal walk to Zennor, just to Tinners Arms and I found it really hard. I haven't walked that far before and it didn't help having boulders that I had to sit down on just to get over them :). There were lots of rocky bits and some of the climbs were hard, plus you had to concentrate on the path when going down so you didn't slip. I guess if I wasn't 72 and has some company, I would have found it easier. Near the end I really didn't think I was going to make it. But I met lots of nice people along the way. One group even congratulated me for making it when I reached the pub. I had a shandy and got a taxi back to St.Ives, where I live, as I couldn't even face walking to the bus stop :). But we'll done to people who have done it and are not suffering with stuff muscles and have to fill out of bed like a stunt person, like me! :) Kathy Hill.
Hi. No it’s not the easiest. I was suprised at the boulder scrambling. But it’s such a beautiful walk. I’m glad you managed it. And I bet that shandy was the best one you’ve ever had!! Thanks for watching 👍🏻
That was good. Thanks for taking us along. Quite a long loop around.
Why thank you! Glad you enjoyed it ☺️
good day-sstunning . catch you later-
Thank you! It was!!
Nice one mate - enjoyed that, cracking beach, nice cook up rig...👏👏👍👍
Thank you. Was a lovely spot. Most chilled camp ever 😀
Brew.pslendid .🤠
Lovely spot to pitch. Drone really gives you a sense of scale.
Thanks for watching. I’ve got one to post from a trip your way soon. Except I forgot to hit record on the drone that time 😭😭😂
@@brewwithaview I look forward to seeing whereabouts you visited! I'm hoping to shoot a video this weekend, and maybe a short one tonight if I find time.
What time did you start pitching and leaving in the Morning Mate? Planning to do my first wild camping and getting as much info as possible to make it successful and environment friendly.
Hey! Found my spot around 7pm (an hour before dark). There were one or two people in the area I could hear. So waited until it was quiet. Probably about 7:30 before I put the tent up. Set my alarm for sunrise (6am) and was packed up by 7am. Just sat there after cooking some breakfast. Hope that helps.
@@brewwithaview Thanks for your prompt reply Mate, can't wait for my time. I just hope I get the same weather as yours.
Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻
Looked great, you are a natural it made me want to buy a tent & join you!
Thanks Anna. Keep forgetting you can see these. How embarrassing 😳 😂. Always welcome to join in! ☺️
Awesome video of the forest. Beautiful place :)
Thank you! It’s it Beautiful, but even more so when the sun shines!
Enjoyed that and loved the drone footage. Such a beautiful place 👍
Thank you so much! Lovely to hear.
Amazing im sooooo jealous..dartmoor looks so amazing. Thank you again
Ahh. Thanks. Glad you are enjoying them. Thanks for watching. Appreciated!!
Hi there..really enjoying the walks..do you need walking shoes or could i use my baseball pumps. Take care sir
Hey. Thanks. Another one coming up tomorrow. To be honest it depends which bit you are doing and what the weather is like. If it’s dry you’ll probably be ok, but there can be slippy rocks and muddy sections, so if you can, wear something with some decent grip. Thanks for watching!
@@brewwithaview thank you I'll take that on board..the tinners way looked a lovely route.
