Fantastic film
My favourite place
Watching this after just completing The Monk's Trod by foot. What a stunning part of the UK and the most special in my mind. It touched my soul and I will continue to visit as regularly as i can for as long as possible.
I whole heartedly support the essence of what's being said here. I love to walk these mountains but the wind turbines are a menace. The developers have had their pay day and their gone onto the next project. I agree with the younger farmer - if there's going to be any development let it be tourism and possibly an AONB. Mark

I never tire of how beautiful and rugged the Cambrians are. What a great series this video is. It's touching on the very soul of the place. Yeah, worth preserving. Mark
I've watched this video numerous times and each time I feel more empathy for the mountains it given me a lot as it did my twin brother Paul. Here's to all who have lived and worked there over generations and to the mountains and valleys that make up this awesome part of the world. Mark
The area is absolutely beautiful and I love the fact that it’s not very well known.its our little secret!
The problem is the Welsh have raped their landscape, sheep and forestry have albeit destroyed the ecologically diverse natural habitat, forest plantations for lumber are not to supportive of diverse species. Yes, very tempting to make a profit from what your ancestors left untouched.
sheep have been there for thousands of years and developed breeds like the speckled face, its always been a marshy harsh and bare environment. i don't think the welsh have exactly raped the landscape. the problem is bigoted uninformed people without any care for those who live there or their culture.
What a beautiful Cistercian abbey. A spiritual jewel.
The site of them turbines are a terrible site its an eye sore also they spoil the whole area who likes turbines ffs it discusting an pathetic of any normalminded person to say you hardly no they there take them turbines an any one to do with them an stick them altogether let them live in where they think they fit not on them mountains it should be criminal what they hav done an doing hard to beleive they got with doing this i liv in cardiff an hav been up around an through these mountains from here to snowdonia an these places ease the soul an the only peace and tranquility of these areas are somthing to treasure not destroy these places from every angle for as far as your eyes can see ruined who decides this
Wild Wales as a whole needs to be preserved.

Not sure this should be designated as a national park, it's great as it is, the tumps of grass (disco grass) are a nightmare but that's nature. Wind farms and solar probably create more co2 to build than they offset over there lifetime.
Rural depopulation is EXACTLY what nature needs. So this is a great thing if rewilding is to succeed without over bearing, overgrazing & intense management from farmers...

Personally I find it offensive that english people and naturalists are trying kick us out of our heritage. Not your heritage
How exactly am I ignorant when i and my forefathers for generations have worked day and night trying scratch a living so that people can eat i know our section of the cambrians better than you tenfold and that it cant support these plans. All we would do is ship farmers out of their homes and lose thousands and thousands of acres of food producing land this would have a large effect on welsh culture and the language, just as it did in the middle of last century when the valleys were flooded to make water for english homes. i think its stupid of you to identify as welsh by speaking the language while also supporting the evacuation of a historic welsh region. You might as well go and listen to the preachings of george monbiot and how he’d oversee the deconstruction of mid wales. When i as someone who is not ignorant continue to plant trees where i can and create a biodiversity, which is something that farmers are willing to improve and expand on instead of having to pack up and leave.
Btw i think itd still be pretty boring if it was just one huge wood even if that tgat was possible. It would kill the soul of the place and ruin the views

And again how has sheep farming had an effect. And how exactly can you make these bold claims. Have you lived up here or walked the whole region. Evidently not because you dont value it
once more conquest takes precedence over anything that is good anymore. I am sad for them.
