    Watch the shackles get take out is angering 3 plus hr later and watch every video on the internet and still cannot get them out. I’m cutting them out. The top moves freely the bottom in the spring will not move no mater where the axel is jack both sides a fd in the a.

    The shackles you installed were different that the plus 2 & 3 shackles on the ground?

    so that would give me a two or three inch lift in the back so id have to change my front shocks and upper control arm is there a simple inexpensive for the front as well ?

    Should have replaced the leaf springs bushing with polymer bushings so much better of a ride! Just sayin

      At the time we shot this install video we had not completed our poly/graphite replacement bushings. They are now standard with all Coachbuilder shackle kits. thanks for watching.

      No, The angle constantly changes as the leafs cycle.

    I need these!!! Hate my rear suspension setup and it feels like the RC lift makes my rear end slip when I hit bumps or off road. Worse as well when towing my gooseneck

    @6:22 bolt should be facing the street.. shouldn't you replace the bolts and nuts the same way you took them off?

      Yes, good eye, Threads should be facing out towards the bedside when installing. this will allow maximum room for spare.

    To anyone watching this, he is using the stock OEM leaf eyelet bushings in this video. The kit now comes with polly bushings. Goodluck getting the old ones out if you live in the rust belt. The OEM bushings took me about 6 hours to remove. Install of this kit is extremely easy and takes about 10-20 mins after you get the old bushings out lol.

    what size shanckles will be needed and with what else to get 4" in lift on tundra rear. eliminate 4" current 4" block.

      We normally use our +3"s and a OME leaf pack. Our Largest shackles ( +3"s) provide 1.75" of actual lift.

    your kits come with replacement bushings. however, i see in your video that you did not replace them. are there any issues with using the stock bushings? will the supplied bolts fit though the stock bushings?

      At the time we shot this we had not finishing designing our Poly bushing kit.. Shackle kit always includes rear leaf spring eyelet bushings and all necessary hardware. shop-coachbuilder.myshopify.com

    I wonder why you only make the 2 or 3 inch sets Is there a reason you dont make a longer set. I'm looking for 4" of drop. And would prefer to do it all in the shackle instead of a block and shackle mix

    David, I am about to put #1 CB shackles on my 2017 Tundra 4x4 CM, I have 290/70/18 tires on it, can I do the install with the rear tires on or do I need to remove them! Also do I need to remove the spare as well! Thanks!

      Removing the tires will make your install much easier and will also def need to remove the spare as well. Give us some feedback after your install.

      Yes, If your truck is running a stage I lift without front coilover normally use our +2"s and if its a stage II with coilover +3"s would be the size to use.     Should the carrier bearing nuts be loosened a little since? lifting the rear is going to pull on the driveline.

      We recommend installing the carrier bearing drop kit after the shackles have been installed and the truck is on the ground. this way the carrier bearing is in a neutral position.

    at 7:01 the leaf spring is resting on the exhaust. will that be an issue?

      during installation the rear suspension needs to come down quite a bit more than it will once the truck is back down on the ground. un clip your rubber exhaust hangers during install will def help.

    I bought the 3" Shackles from CB 4 years ago and my 2013 Tundra still looks AWESOME. My brother just ordered the same set for his 2014 Tundra. Glad this video is still available 👍

      No, just swapped the stock shackles with these Heavy Duty 3" Shackles. No other modification needed. With the Low Range Off Road (LRO) 3 in 1 Leveling Kit installed and these 3" Shackles, the look is perfect, you still have that slight rake (Bull Dog) look. FYI: I didn't use the 1" rear blocks that came with the LRO Leveling Kit.

      Thanks for the reply. Was wanting to keep that factory rake and not have level or rear end sag. Sounds like this is the ticket and maybe with some 1" blocks too.

    about to install mine ( finally !) . I'll be removing the shitty blocks that my dealer installed. I sourced the stock u bolts. should I simply remove the blocks, load the suspension, then tighten the u bolts and then proceed with normal install? your install video was very straight forward. just didn't know if there was a beneficial process for us that are going from a block to your beautiful shackles!

    is it harder to do it one side at a time? i know sway links like to be quite even for them to free up... is it the same for the shackles/leafs??

      you def want to remove both shackles at the same time and then install your new shackles at the same time as well, reason being the axle will pivot in line front the front hangers and will not want to twist.

    do shackle help lift the back of the suv 4runner I'm lost 1/2 inch cause I put aftermarket rear coil so if I use a shackle can that help bring my suv rear back up
