Fun fact... this is the first time Renegade was played at a Steelers game. Had we lost and Fu not scored the game winning TD, we might be listening to some Metallica song hahaha
Same. My dad and my sister watched every game together. That particular day, with how the game was going, we weren’t getting along too well. My sister and I went to watch the game upstairs. My dad stayed in the basement. I’ll never forget hearing him go nuts - but also my sister and I staying upstairs until the end of the game in order to “not jinx it”
...having a "homefield advantage" implies that you can't win unless the fans motivate you. However...during the Chuck Knoll era, the Steelers won no matter where they played. Pitts burgh could have played on the road throughout the 70's...and still win 4 Super Bowls.
I always used to love saying his name (I still do), just like Tuiasosopo, who used to play TE for the Seahawks and is now with the Mariners. But since I'm a Ravens' fan, I'll go with one of our old players as my favorite name: Obafemi Ayanbadejo. But don't forget about my honorable mention, Ma'ake Kemoeatu. (Doesn't his brother play for the Steelers?)
Brilliant call by Greg Gumbel. RIP legend
One of the all-time coolest names in NFL history. Used to have a "One Bad Ma' Afala" shirt but lost it somewhere along the way.
Had to come here after they changed the name of Heinz Field. Tough times make heard men.
Fu was a BEAST
Jerame tuman... "That's a fuckin touchdown goddamnit!!". I remember hearing that watching the game. Hilarious.
Last time chatted w/Chris, daughter was playing soccer. As quiet/soft-spoken as he is Big/Wide!-lol
Lets be honest, it was kind of a dump but i have tons of memories from the place
This is such a great call by Gumble. It’s simple, plain and really allows for the viewer to soak in the moment.
He just passed. Came here to hear him call a moment that made me a fan! RIP Greg Gumble! 🙏
I love it it's just that he said it wrong

I wish the staidium did not implode
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
I have a replica of three rivers stadium
This is one of my favorite Steelers memories ever. I ran out of my house into the street celebrating when Fu got the go-ahead TD.

THATS A BAD MA'AFALA DONT TALK ABOUT MA'AFALA!!!
Shut cho mouth!!
thats a bad ma'afala, SHUT YO MOUTH!!
Does anyone know what this guitar music is that is playing during the intro to the Three Rivers era? Driving me crazy I cant come up with it.
winning games with backups was sweet.....one bad Ma'afala! eat shit Cleveland!
@APizzle90 Also, I forgot, Greg Gumble announced that the steelers scored two late touchdowns in the 4th to gain the lead.
@APizzle90 the steelers came back from 17 points, I believe that was the deficit..
Both Three Rivers Stadium and Mellon arena were extremely loud with fans in Pittsburgh....I miss hearing Myron cope calling steeler games
Oye dbl oye!

Only #7?
What was so special about this game?
Man dat was da best team.. Chris fuamatu mafala is da beast
@lionslicer9999 It's loud because Steeler fans stick with the team through thick and thin.
i remember this game well, it was a classic
I think Heinz Field is better :P It's hell for kickers who aren't used to kicking there and I think its extremely loud.

Tuiasosopo was a QB for the Raiders
I love these names lol especially Obafemi Ayanbadejo
I created a coach in madden named Pasi Matu’ufakahini
HOly shit, Tommy Maddox! Man I hated that guy back then.
i miss fu...the steelers could still use him down on the goal line
ravenkiller, why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?
I know right? He's about as funny as a screen door on a battleship.
Renegade sucks worse than MJF! :P
