You should hold the shift with the Ctrl at the same time all the way. There could be a lot improvement to the time as it disable the auto-brake when cornering.
Ctrl+Shift in low tier car makes you slower, because you just slide when taking corners making you lose more time than saving it. In high tier cars like formula or team17 shift only makes them take corner tighter. In general you only need ctrl to remove auto-brake feature. There is a lot of time to save by just reducing ammount of failed stunts

Formuła jest normalnie zawsze wolniejsza od team car, ale time trail formuła jest szybsza niż zwykła formuła i tylko wtedy jest lepsza od team car

Tak, gra chodzi o wiele szybciej jak się wyłączy limiter fps i to widać po sekudach na okrążeniach że są nie równe z realnym czasem
