Welcome! My name is Candis and I collect and admire vintage and antique items (and places). I enjoy treasure hunting at estate sales, antique stores and flea markets. My list of vintage favorites keeps growing, but here are some of them: Christmas decorations, children's books, greeting cards, postcards, sheet music, snapshots, nursery toys (especially squeakers), plush, angels, and animal figurines. Every item has a story and represents a moment in time. This makes them hold so much meaning!
I have a growing collection of children's books from the 1940s-1970s. I have around 100 now... as well as a new (to me) collection of victorian-era children's books.
I occasionally sell vintage items on Ebay, and began selling as a flea market vendor in 2022.
I plan to share videos of the items I collect, sell, and hope to hear from viewers about the things they enjoy collecting.

Watch as I flip and arrange two sets of picture blocks I recently purchased at an antique mall. They were mixed up in a ziplock bag, and I didn't know until I was done arranging them that there were two complete sets! It was thrilling! I didn't have any pictures to reference, so it was a fun brain exercise figuring out how to arrange the blocks - I left out that part. I hope you enjoy!

I love the radios from the 60s. I bought a powder blue one for my husband to replace one that I broke when I tripped over the cord😢. I can see why they are giving a free iron with purchace, it looks like they have a TON of them! Fun video, thank you, Candace!😊

The quonset huts at 2:21. These were used as married students housing at the University of Wyoming around 1958. My dad was getting his teaching degree and I was 5.

I was fascinated with this when I was a little girl. I always loved miniature replicas of real things, arranging the furniture etc.

I have a similar set of pictures at my home!! Need to check the backs and put my info on back for subsequrment generations. Thx. We just gave my hubby’s Lincoln logs to our first great grandson!

I love looking at the vintage photos but at the same time I wonder why people put precious family photos for sale. I'd feel weird if I knew photos of myself were out there in the wild!
@@karenlouise4822 Hi Karen! Maybe in a hundred years people will look at old photos of us and wonder the same thing. Photos just don't get passed down to family like they should, and maybe even if they did, there is no memory of who the people in the photos are, thus no connection or reason to keep them.
Candis, love those old photos. Almost sad, these abandoned photos.I have a bunch I'm going through of my family. Some are really old. I like the B&W ones best.

I started school at 5yrs in 1955. These beautiful blocks and others were the only thing i liked about school. They were like magic, but they treated them like the crown jewels.. limited access..

the postcard with the tractors & bunnies is adorable i would have gotten that too.and those spun heads good deal. i have the child mug good deal on that too that brooks reader is awesome. today i went to the midland show got a mrs peter rabbit book 1919 for $5. not too much else it was pretty slim on older stuff this year. good haul for you havent been to allen in yrs
