@@AndrewStokes1966 Огромное СПАСИБО!!! Лодка очень интересная. Видел как яхтсмен специально укладывал мачтой на воду( получилось очень тяжело, несмотря на сильный ветер) а затем оччень быстро поставил на ровный киль. Неваляшка прям какая то, а не лодка. Класс!!! Хм, по случайному совпадению, у меня тоже ПЯТЬ детей, но от разных жен ( две) только первые две девчёнки, а потом мальчишка, девочка и опять мальчишка. Но они уже все взрослые, с семьями, за исключением среднего ( третьего по счету в общем списке). Вот он то и подтолкнул меня к строительству лодки. А лет 12 тому назад мы с ним ходили на регаты местного значения..... " Чудны дела твои Господи!"

Hi Andrew, is your Argie still going strong? I have just started mine. I've found your build log on Woodenboat forum. That's useful to see how someone local has gone through the process. After a few years of experience is there anything you'd change? I like the forward sealed locker. Would you do that again? I was thinking of doing a canvas cover instead. Not waterproof but splash resistant and gives flexibility for using the area for other things. I'm also interested in how the bed boards are going, I was thinking of sleeping on the floor on floor boards but then your idea of a raised bed is a good one too.

Andrew, I built my J6 here in Maui, HI. I’ve got to say after having built from scratch I would have rather bought a $100 J6 and fixed it! Great job! I watched the progress on FB.

how do Argie 15 and core sound compare ?
Coresound was slightly faster with it's bigger sail plan (I am not using the original sail plan). Argie is cheap to build, and super quick to rig with my sail plan. I also have crap loads of buoyancy with the enclosed full length seats so can go anywhere without fear. I don't know a lot about the Coresound but they have a great reputation. I'd check them both out and compare - see which best suits your needs/preferences.

Nice. I bought a copy of the plans but there is no spec for a lug rig. Did you design that yourself?

Great boat. I'm a newbie about boats. But your splash problem could be solved with a gasket on the bottom of the boat. My buccaneer has one. Works good.
I sorted it by putting a strip of fibreglass clothe along the back part of the cut out on top. Works a treat! I have heard about the gasket at the bottom as well but this worked fine so as is. Cheers, thanks for your comment!
Wonder how the sprit rig worked out. Is there plans to add a jib, sprit rigs handle them quite well without stays.

Marine ply from Bunnings (yes they carry it now - well they do in Gympie). Ring the 'The Bunker' at Noosa for a price first as Bunnings will always beat competitors prices by 10% if they are cheaper. Start a building log on Pintrest or The Wooden Boat Forum as a lot of people like to follow along with you and offer suggestions etc. It's a really supportive community and we all love seeing boats come together.
