Manually Unloading 3 Point Firewood Rack- Doesn't get much easier than This! #11
มุมมอง 6964 ปีที่แล้ว
Unloading firewood from my custom DIY 3 point rack. Dimensions are 6'x6'x2' With this rack I have two options for unloading it. 1...Manually as you see here or 2...dump it via the use of the hydraulic top link. Dumping is quick but Its much easier to stack when you can remove logs off of rack instead of picking them off the floor.

What rpm is the pump rated at 28Gpm . I thought they were round 4000rpm this project helps in heat, speed, fuel consumption and time well worth it in the long run

Hello awesome information can you tell me where to get one of these dump valves part numbers or manufacturer? I've call several hydraulic shops, cylinder repair shops, even the dealers for the prince auto cycle valves and everyone acts like they've never heard of a dump valves on a log splitter! Thanks for any info that you can give out

Is there any way you could put together the exact parts needed to put an auto valve on a rugged made 700 series. I’m seeing a ton of videos but I’m still confused. Thanks

I can never understand why people split their wood so damn small! The initial splits, if you had put the 4 way in the dead center is great for an all night fire in my wood heater. All those small splits I guess are ok for a back yard sit around fire but burn too fast to make an all nighter out of.

A question, would this be nearly the same with one motor driving a tandem pump? Leave the rest of the plumbing alone.

How has the Log Splitter been holding up over the years? I notice it’s a rugged made but what size is it? 28 ton or 37 tons? I like the upgrades that you’ve made. I am thinking of purchasing one of these Log Splitter’s.

Really dig your thinking and upgrading. One question I thought I saw a bolt on back of the 4way. If your system doesn’t move in this set up type. How about using that screw as a height fixture ?

Did you find that the splitting pressure needed to be set when you got the splitter. I went from a 28 ton to 38 ton and I swear the 28 splits wood better. I do not have a gauge on there yet but the motor isn’t even bogging down when it’s trying to push wood that is stuck

Thank you for building this machine. I would like to also build my own log splitters. I own a tree service and have become somewhat fascinated by all the cool splitters out there. Do you have a website? Because I would like to learn more about the hydraulic components. I have learned some new names for hydraulic components but honestly these machines are still greek to me. Guidance/ instruction would be greatly appreciated and I would be willing to pay for plans or lessons if you had the time to compile a report.
