I dig that there are lots of different mushrooms. I enjoy foraging for mushrooms in real life. Is funny watching you harvest all the mushrooms, while seeing their names, knowing they are not edible lol. I don't know about in-game but in real life you can parboil the fly agaric mushrooms and render them edible. P.S. Mushrooms are not vegetables.

I made an archipelago for 1.20 as well, the start was kinda rough as the cattails were very sparse, but I'm really enjoying the island exploration aspect of the challenge, I hope you'll have fun as well!

Tip: put your torches in your inventory during day time cause you don’t need them so there’s no risk of them going out. Otherwise keep only one lit in your off hand and the other ones that are lit in your inventory so even if the one on your hand goes out, the others stay lit.

Better to use the cat tail roots to plant them near your home instead of eating them. They give next to nothing in saturation.

This new map looks like fun! And those new drifters are scary. One food mod I've fallen in love with is Long-Term Food by MrFlame. It lets you make pemmican, trail rations and a few other things.

The terrain generation in VS is very finicky. I have found that the settings do not behave the way one expects from the description. It’s very frustrating every time I tinker with them. I usually end up spawning several worlds and checking for reasonable starting conditions before I pick one. Do you have the carry on mod? Make a reed basket for your back.

Im glad you started over. I was worried youd miss out on being able to use the new boats on that last map. This one has much more boating/rafting potential heh

I'm currently stuck in my game. Updated my game to 1.20 yesterday and spent an hour troubleshooting my game crashing whenever I tried to log into my singleplayer world. I got it figured out (I was running the old HUD mod and had to get the 1.20 fix) but somehow now I don't know what to do/build next. I hope your lets play gives me new inspiration :)

13:20 just like in real life, mushrooms (technically: their fruiting boeids) don't regrow any better if you cut them with a knife in VS. :) They changed that with version 1.16 already. It's funny how a persistent myth I grew up with in real life has also become a persistent myth in a game.

Welcome back! Can't wait for this new season. I'm trying to hold off starting a new 1.20 world and finish up my current to-play list... and hopefully give mods a chance to catch up.

Glad to see you back in VS! But just as a heads up, disabling Temporal Stability also disables Temporal Storms! There is a command you can run to reenable temporal stability after a game has already been started, though.

I don't think setting a container that contains water to autocollect does anything. Water should already be automatically collected by default.

yes, you are back! I'm a little worried about your settings: random respawn radius 5000 blocks -> any death before you can set your spawn point will either make you start over or run for hours. The combination of fewer temporal storms and only using temporal gears 3 times -> you will have a huge shortage of temporal gears, it could get frustrating. No ocean-> You will miss some of the new content.

Still heartbroken it doesn't work with Save our Ship 2

In the rust wells, there is usually 2 50’ spools of wire under each of the chests or whatever is waiting for you at the bottom of the well. It took me 300+ hours in game to notice this.
