lol bro you're doing some expert tactics in those fights. I personally prefer to think instead of work hard. If I have to put in a lot of effort, I just deduce that I must be doing something wrong. So I stop what I'm doing and start thinking creative ways to solve the issue. For example, In temple of trials - you can just run past all the mobs and steal the key. Some enemies you don't have to fight at all. You can get Sulik to clear the early game content for you. Etc.

Wow, you have the -1 Perception that Jon from Many A True Nerd also famously suffer from. Middle-of-screen blindness. You can afford to have recruits die, except for Snake. Farsight and Stich are the most expensive to lose, but if they die on Mission 2, you'll have plenty of time to upgrade their replacements. For the most part, replacement recruits will be inferior, except for the bonus objective rewards later. In Bunker Alpha, you were supposed to attend the Mission briefing, in the southernmost room, the Assembly Hall, that you didn't go into. After that, you get a new location on the world map. You get the humvee in Mission 5, I think, which makes things easier, so long as you keep it repaired. The other vehicles are special purpose, and kinda meh as vehicles. Be extra careful with the tank, there's a bug, that gets it permanently stuck in one of the final bunkers, so leave it in the previous bunker, when not using it.

Imho, F2 is hardest. It's the only one I didn't finish not because I got bored but because I actually got stuck and couldn't do anything.

If you play Fallot 1 and 2, the best thing you can do is max out your AG stat to 10. I have not played this game for a very long time. I played it when it first came out, but this will effects the number of things you do in a combat turn, etc. The Game has a manual look on online.

I'm in the beginning and dunno how much you figured out on your own so far, but here are tips: 1) I'm almost sure you can type the amount of caps you want to give in barter. Maybe it only works with numpad or maybe it was added in Fallout 2 tho. 2) F1 brings up a help screen that displays every shortcut and which cursor does what. 3) if you hold lmb with arrow cursor on something - you get a drop-down menu where you can choose to use an item or a skill on an object. 4) bartering with companions is actual barter. If you want to take something back for free - you need to steal from them. They don't mind tho. It's because companions were literally added like a couple months before release. 5) flares increase visibility in the dark. Light one up and put it in your second hand. 6) you can heal yourself three times with aid and doctor before you need to rest for a couple days. 7) Game has a manual. It contains some useful information but is mostly stylized as survival guide. If it's not included - you can find it online. 8) no need to put stimpack in your hand. It's single use but takes about same number of AP as opening inventory. You can use as many items directly from inventory as you want. 9) i might be wrong but AP ammo is useless in the first game. There's a bug in the code and it seems to deal less damage than regular ammo.
