What size crochet hook did you use?

You have beautiful patterns but sometimes you are very confusing. I'm not sure which row this is on but your written instruction says two half double crochets in the next two chains then two half double crochets in the next chain and then you have in parenthese "1 - 1 - 2" and that is what you do in your demonstration You may need to correct your written instructions or explain them and show me what I need to. I decided to go by your demonstration.

I bet you could also use a mason jar ring for this. It’s lovely. I hope I can make some for my children and grandchildren. Thanks.😊
