'One day Jesus taught the apostles to keep praying and never stop or lose hope. He shared with them this illustration: “In a certain town there was a judge, a thick-skinned and godless man who had no fear of others’ opinions. “He ignored her pleas for quite some time, but she kept asking. Eventually he said to himself, ‘This widow keeps annoying me, demanding her rights, and I’m tired of listening to her. Even though I’m not a religious man, and I don’t care about the opinions of others, I’ll get her off my back by answering her claims for justice and I’ll rule in her favor. Then she’ll leave me alone.’ ” “He ignored her pleas for quite some time, but she kept asking. Then she’ll leave me alone.’ ” And in the same town there was a poor widow who kept pleading with the judge, ‘Grant me justice and protect me from my oppressor!’ Don’t you know that God, the true judge, will grant justice to all his chosen ones who cry out to him night and day? He will pour out his Spirit upon them. He will not delay to answer you and give you what you ask for. Jesus continued, “Did you hear what the godless judge said-that he would answer her persistent request? God will give swift justice to those who don’t give up. So be ever praying, ever expecting, in the same way as the widow. Even so, when the Son of Man comes back, will he find this kind of undying faith on earth?”’ Luke 18:1-4,6-8 www.bible.com/bible/1849/LUK.18.1-4,6-8

I just want to know where God is. I was born again 30 years ago in my life is completely falling apart. Scripture has been an everyday part of my life for those 30 years. I lost my wife, I lost most of my wealth, and now, I'm losing my health. I'm alone. Even when I talk to people they're like oh you got a roof over your head and you eat daily, you are blessed. I don't feel blessed. The roof over my head is barely there and the cupboard is empty. I'm not holy like Job, I certainly never had his kind of wealth. But I've lost everything that I did have. My prayers go unanswered. I'm ready to give up but, where do you go when God abandons you? You just sit in this kind of purgatory where, you're trapped between heaven and hell. It's pure misery.

It gets better I promise. We don't have the answers to life's problems. At times we won't have enough understanding of what tapestry God is weaving for us, just trust and believe all things are possible! What people have done to you that was meant for evil, God will use it to show you his great love! And what you are going through at this time perhaps it's not for us to understand but to believe in him who has carried you this far! You're not lost brother, you're just working on your testimony! I'll be in prayer for you. God bless

I obviously cannot tell you what purpose God has for you, but I can say that if you're still here, it's for a reason. Take care of yourself because God does have a purpose for you, and it's righteous, it's bigger than you, and everything that happens in our lives prepares us for that purpose. I truly believe that, every word of it, and I believe in you.

Calling Carl Lentz a Con Artist for 18 years? Even this guys facial expressions got exaggerated when he said it. The Character of Christ isn’t condemnation. That left a really bad taste in my mouth. If Carl is a con artist then we all are. None are above sin. Yes, Props to Laura for choosing her family but I guarantee you she wants her Husband celebrated for not letting the Enemy win his story. Im tired of seeing this narrative. Most people that choose to belittle this guy haven’t even come close to the influence Carl lentz has had. I couldn’t imagine the spiritual warfare he has been through. God used this guy to help change many eternal addresses. Dishonoring another man in front of his wife or on a platform such as TH-cam is pretty low. That’s the opposite of what I would say is spiritual masculinity. I watched this yesterday, I couldn’t even sleep thinking about it. His kids probably will see this. He had moments of weakness. It doesn’t mean he was manipulating his wife and kids. I hope that part gets edited out and an apology is given. I can say Carl handled it better than I could off. Bible tells us if we even look on a woman in lust it’s just the same as being with her. I guess this guy is perfect in that area. I think someone close to this guy needs to check him. If masturbating during puberty is how he wants to relate to Carl lentz’s situation then this guy is oblivious to where shame and trauma will take you. I’ve never left a comment on TH-cam but for a man to claim spiritual masculinity and put his Brother in Christ down in front of his wife, I pray this guy wakes up to his arrogance before God humbles him. No Being on this earth is perfect.

I know there are lots of people who don't care for Carl Lentz...BUT...ONE thing you have to respect about him is that he is speaking out, taking responsibility for what he has done, and being honest about his journey through his sin and how he is rebuilding his life, marriage, and family. This last year the Church has seen many mega pastors fall and be exposed and NONE of them are talking, they have been loudly SILENT! They are hiding behind their PR firms and lawyers and that has been the most disheartening thing for the Body of Christ. Real repentance takes responsibility, and it doesn't hide out. Thank you, to the Lentz family for sharing your story and being real & honest and open with your story.

This isn't necessarily pointed at John but I question if it's possible to mature in what is familiar on fire Christian Church. Can you have relationship with God where witchcraft is practiced regularly in each church service with ceremony and ritual practices of worship? How can you help someone get free from shame and lies when you dump more shame on them? How can you expect to help the Body of Christ as a leader when you are neglecting the miracle ministry commandments of Jesus? What do you really expect people to do with a challenge like this? Christians need to understand that ritual and ceremonial worship practices have replaced the reliance on following the Holy Spirit to fulfill the Commandments of Jesus. Ceremony and ritual replaces Jesus with familiar spirits.

I get that porn is used as a stress reliever and that early exposure can make it more difficult to break the habit. And I get that being molested can create some sexual trauma. BUT…. With that being said… I am SO SICK of hearing men drop this thing about early childhood trauma as playing into why they cheated on their wives… like what “kind of trauma” from childhood forced you to betray the woman who loves you? Is it called “selfishness,” or “evil,” or “licentiousness,” or “greed?” Bc those are the sins that cause one to be unfaithful… Trauma is a victim word. You are explaining your infidelity away by making yourself a victim of some past hurt when you use this language. It’s absolute bull… I’m sorry, I don’t care if you were hurt in some capacity when you were younger- so was LITERALLY every single person on the face of the Earth. Can we not? Drop the drama. Stick to the accountability for your actions (which there was a lot of, and it was healing to hear it. I appreciated it.)

I think that divorce and staying together after cheating has occurred in a marriage are both really hard, just in different ways. My mom has stayed with my dad for 37 years even though he has cheated on her multiple times. It’s definitely hard to forgive a partner who has cheated, but if she left it would have also been hard for her financially since my dad is the one who has mostly been the one to bring in an income throughout their marriage. Leaving would have been hard and uncomfortable in that aspect, and starting again as a single person after being married is daunting too. I pray more people, especially followers of Christ, would turn to Him before they sink into the temptation of being unfaithful.

Do you know of any podcasts that are like yours that are more geared towards women? I am getting so much out of your podcasts that I just keep listening. I feel like I’m included with everything you guys talk about. I’m just curious if you have any recommendations?

Shared this with a dear friend who’s husband cheated on her. They mutually decided to work on the marriage. I think she deserves a trophy and I am so proud of her. This will be a great resource for them! Thank you!
