I did make the adult size, but I see it also comes in a kids version. That's great.

Best of luck on your make. The fabric is a little sheer on the linen I used, but you don't really see the pockets. However, making them out of your under shorts is an interesting idea. Let me know how it works out. Keep at it, even at this stage of my sewing journey, I'm still learning new ways to do things!

I use the same method. I dislike turning straps at all costs LOL. If you use glasshead pins you can iron over them. You can poke the pins into the ironboard cover so you can make the straps as tiny as your fingers can manipulate.

@@kristinedeising6238 well, I would recommend starting with something else. Maybe a gauze, then chiffon. It can be tricky to work with.

I haven't started this pattern yet... Is that the facing band? Yes, that looks like it might be tricky. Did you use tricot interfacing? That will stretch and not pull at the curves. Maching basting the band first then sewing will help. Also put the blouse side down so the feed dogs can help with easing. Let me know how it goes? I'll be making a sew along for this one in the next few weeks. I'm curious as to your issues so I can address them.

Thank you for replying to my dilemmas. Your advice is sound. I followed Vogue instructions so have clipped the seam. Did use light iron on interfacing. Am considering unpicking, removing the interfacing passed the seam allowance hoping that might help take the damage away( looks so unprofessional, I am experienced sewer), but am so disappointed in this garment. Thanks again for advice.

Hi Sandi, I have made an attempt to reconstruct my shirt V2037with curved bands. It has been difficult & frustrating. I unpicked it all carefully, then heated & removed the iron on interfacing. I then pressed garment carefully, resewed band on without interfacing. Pressed flat the whole garment & bands then carefully retraced the facing but only to the stitching line- recut stretchy light iron on interfacing placing it insitu careful not covering the stitched seam. Hell of a job, but has released curved seams which I notched - pressed up and looks a great deal better. I am determined to finish it, but will sew next time entirely different order. Be pleased to hear of your sew a long on this pattern and experience.😅

Agreed. Pants need to touch the instep. However, the horizontal opening of the pockets are ideal. Inseam pocket openings tend to bulge, especially on the pear-shaped (like me).

@@barrettscustomdesign thank you! I told my friend that I refused to watch sewing videos with girls that were twigs. Ha ha at 64 and fluffy and short I can't wear what they wear. Or at least I should know better. 🤭🫣🤷‍♀️So I'm always looking for people that sew for real sized people. One of the more entertaining TH-camrs was showing a pattern she made and she said oh I had to cover my lumps and bumps so I used a size 4. 🤔🫨😝

The finished size is determined by the width of the fabric and the length you cut. Many Minky fabrics are around 65 inches wide so the blanket will end up about 63 wide by the length you choose.
