This game, is a relic from a time long lost, when games were free from political agendas, free from mad greedy minds that put profit above quality, a time when games were fun, no matter how bad they were, and this game is special to me, for another reason, its pretty much a Game that feels almost like an eternal christmas gift for Mecha Fans, and for me, is among the Peak Fighting games ever

I love those two both music, Majestic and Heart of Courage, those ways to how to begin the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games into a dramatic musical orchestra style. I still love my hometown because of Vancouver 2010, still the best place on earth. 🥰

Hard to believe to see this clip still exists today, a definite blast from the past for me. Thank the WMV or whatever format it was originally encoded as, this clip is now rendered as 480p despite coming from the age of 240p FLVs. Speaking of which, a friend of mine back then considered this clip a canon event to his SRW fanfic, making Dearka pilot a different mech due to losing his Gundam to EVA-01 while also giving him quite a grudge against the EVA.

If not for the Chibi artstyle, the Gundam should be a quarter the size of Eva 01. Gundam, roughly 20 meters tall (usually less), vs 80 meter minimum height of an Eva. Eva 00 is probably the shortest. (not that smaller number Eva means a smaller Eva.)

This was one of my favorite Dreamcast games next to Rival Schools, Power Stone and Jet Set Radio. I especially love this game because I'm a Mecha Anime Fan so this game was released at the right time for me,I just wish that Capcom. Made updated sequels to these games and released them for the PS5,XBox One, and Nintendo Switch.

True story: I was watching my buddy play Alpha, and he had the bright idea to use the SRX’s MAP version of the HTB Cannon to blast a bunch of enemies into smoldering ruin. A fine plan, but Eva Unit 1 was among the friendly units that were going to get caught in the wholly unreasonable blast radius boasted by the HTB Cannon. Me: “Dude, you’re gonna hit Unit 1.” Buddy: “It’s fine, the AT Field will protect it.” Me: “Are you sure about that?” Buddy: “Yeah, it’ll be fine.” My buddy takes the shot, and as the damage is being tallied on the small army he just blasted, I say “I hope that punches right through that AT Field and kills Unit 1.” RIGHT when I finish saying that, the damage to Unit 1 is shown, and wouldn’t you know who won the pony? The HTB Cannon overpowered Unit 1’s AT Field and wiped out all of her HP in one go, obliterating Unit 1 instantly. Cue the animation of Unit 1’s mouth opening, eyes flashing, and the little berserk cutscene playing. The next closest thing to Eva-1 happened to be Gunbuster, and Eva-1 beat the holy hell out of Gunbuster. Fortunately, this is Gunbuster we’re taking about so it got the Buster Shield up in time and managed to survive, mostly by virtue of being Gunbuster. Me: “I told you man….”
