Is the 1100AD unstable or something? Why does almost no body make cinematic battle for that mod?
It just looks less cool and the units last way less time in battles. If you don't use submods, field battles are over in a flash. 1100 isn't a bad mod, it's just not as good for flashy cinematic battles. It's better for a slow paced realistic campaign, focusing on sieges.
