Moose Spotting in Dalarna, Sweden

Everybody said we would never see a moose in the wild on our road trip from Stockholm to the home of Hagstrom Guitars in Älvdalen, Sweden... especially not next to the road in the middle of the day! This was on a side excurision to Sundborn to visit the Carl Larsson house which was amazing. I highly recommend going if you ever find yourself in northern Sweden! :)

Those are not original knobs. Either that or mine are not original. I removed the Damned pointers
I have the same exact guitar, in the same exact color. My sister’s boyfriend at the time got it as a present when he was a young boy. I bought it from him in the mid 70s when I thought I wanted to learn guitar. Mine is all original except the pickup. A friend suggested I put in a”newer” pickup, so I did. I still have the original pickup. It’s in the box of replacement pickup. I was thinking the same question as you. What to do with this guitar?
The chances of it being an original priceless vintage princess are gone forever. That's a player from here on out. How about: An authentic decal? Crox in England has really good ones. A conversion to duo Sonic? (All parts should have the pickguard) Put in a couple of Fralins or Lollars, add a good quality switch, and keep the push-pull pot to select series/parallel for both pickups. It will rock the house in series, and you'll get some hum cancellation as well. Give her a great set up and enjoy! (You might want to put that L-series neck plate in the safe and replace it with a plain one.) Somebody will steal the guitar for that plate alone. The one on my Mustang has a hole in it and somebody offered me $300 for it. It'll have a tough, beefy tone with some .011 strings, and still be easy to play because of the short scale. You'll have a ball with it.
Thanks! Very informative! I have the same guitar, only all original, and have been looking for info! See? God answers prayer!!
That guitar is great. It can sound like anything just using the tone.
So what are the scale length and neck radius of this model?
Beautiful work. Amazing guitar
I'm pretty sure that this is a repro Maestro Vibrola. I have a 1968 Gibson SG Special and the vibrola looks much different.
Really nice video! Whats the name of the song in the beginning?
Where did you get the pickup and the push pull control plate??? Thanks!!
Beautiful
I’d play the heck out of it 😅
Very well done.
Awesome Geoffrey
What should you do with it? Play it....or sell it to me! It's very cool.
I'm going to be listing it on Reverb.com soon
@@nickspicksvintageshowcase8466 ahh very cool. I thought you might be returning to original if you could get the parts.
@@willjohnson2511 I think I will still properly fix up the neck and replace the bridge and control plate. I like that pickup though, and will leave it in. With the pull-up knob to go from singlecoil to humbucker, this guitar has a new dimension
@@nickspicksvintageshowcase8466 I guess with one pickup that switching option is useful.
