If you're going to rule your life and choiced based on what fictional characters do, I suggest you visit a licensed mental healthcare professional first. Second, please, let people choose how they like to be entertained. Please. At least, allow them that. Their own spare time for them only, just to enjoy. They work (paid or not) or study so hard the rest of the day. And try it yourself as well. Find something you enjoy so much thay you have to watch, listen, practice..... on repeat and that leaves you an hour with a smile on your face. I strongly recommmend.

Well, yeah, this is fiction. However, you might have in that time period where women nor girls could be alone with a man or boy for anything to naturally occur without simply asking for such a thing. It's also obvious Penelope has very low self-esteem to begin with, and now she has been outed as doing something seen as incredibly scandalous in their society, which would result in her opportunity to ever get married to dwindle even further or dissappear all together.

Oh for godsake it’s book canon. Not to mention he ends up begging for her right back in that carriage. It’s not about begging, at the end of the day it’s two friends that are desperate for each other’s feelings and affections, not about what YOU think is a turn off. Get over it.

Conocí está historia por la serie y simplemente es mí opinión. Me resultó incómodo que ella suplique a su amigo que le dé un beso y el amigo se vea forzado a besarla por honrar una amistad. Luego ese amigo descubre que siente algo más. Pero el beso fué forzado. Más allá de que lo disfruten y por ser actores grandiosos eso se note. No tengo que superar nada, jaja.

He wasn’t forced to kiss her though, he could’ve turned her down after she asked lol. The fact is deep down he wanted to. He already was exhibiting signs of jealousy at the full moon ball the week prior, then visits her doorstep in the middle of the night? He wanted that kiss, plain and simple. And good thing she DID ask because he sure wasn’t finding the courage to do so. He almost lost her to Debling and had to get not one but TWO lectures from his mother before he got the guts to tell her how he felt. Be for real right now LOL
