If you'll notice, Cliff Robertson wore a tall hat in this episode, which was pretty strange in those days as everyone usually wore a cowboy hat, or something like it. But Cliff KNEW that this would be something someone from Ohio would wear on a trip, so he insisted upon wearing it, even having Rod Serling himself make the final decision. Rod, who strongly supported the feelings of his actors, gave the idea his blessing and the hat stayed in. When they finally watched it, both the producer and the cameraman finally admitted that Robertson was right all along.

Your review series is excellent! I like it when you point out the exact moments that make these tales so well written & that you are so immersed in the ReBoot universe. Your best content (for this and your other Reboot reviews) comes at the end , when you quickly & succinctly explain your reason for giving the ## of hats that you give.

Are you using your actual voice? If so, you need to can and bottle that voice! It's remarkably unusual!

Gail Kobe appeared also in the TZ episode "In His Image", one of the hour-long episodes of Season #4. So she appeared in three pretty good TZ episodes.

In some TZ episodes, momentary images enhance the story considerably. Sandy's lovely, gently smiling face gazing silently into the camera, encircled by the moon or some other celestial body, as she seems to be patiently awaiting Doug's return as he is speaking to her from across the universe: "Where are you, Sandy?" And towards the end, Sandy's shocked, almost horrified face as Doug walks toward her, aged out of all possibility of picking up where they left off.

To Serve Man - man goes from the ruler of a planet, to an ingredient in someone's soup.

Ann Blyth was so beautiful and I love her hair in this episode, it's so beautiful.

Thanks for this entertaining recap of my favorite cartoon. I love how you keep pointing out (here & for other episodes) how well written and creative this show was. That's such a great point to make! Reboot is completely original content that isn't based on any kind of book, comic, cartoon etc....such an impressive feat Also, this is one of my favorite episodes. It established Megabyte as a serious physical threat. Additionally, it builds on the previous two parter about his infection ability .... when he turned that ecto-skeleton into the "megabyte shade" of blue , that was a huge surprise!

And with them went my Grandmother's, whole Family. This is child's play compared to, the Showers of Zyclon B. Thank You BAYER. And its dirty Conglomerates😪

Handling the Holocaust is very difficult. The evil is so horrendous that you can only either touch on it indirectly, as this episode does, or portray it graphically--which would nauseate most audiences. The episode is clumsy and heavy-handed for sure, but Serling's opening and closing statements are some the best, succinct summaries Ive read or heard anywhere of the whole phenomenon.

I have always loved this episode. The narrator sounds like she would be more useful peeling potatoes in a turf hut

Sorry, I have to disagree with you about The Fever. I think that the slot machine following the man around was a very clever way of illustrating how insidious addiction can be.

Must be my all-time favorite episode! While this (clarinet I believe) in the musical score, is hauntingly nostalgic! _....Top Notch T-Zone!_

Let’s not judge this episode too harshly, it’s a typical comic book plot of the era.The ambiguous ending suggests that the aliens will win in their endeavor to take over the earth. ACG Comics, Marvel Comics, and Charlton Comics had the same type of stories. Sometimes there was a flaw in the aliens plans and the Earth defeated the aliens.

A sad one. I thought more of the townsfolk would stick with Goldsmith rather than with French, who they didn't know.

I always liked this one, more than "Two", which I found to be a bit too plodding. Also, I don't think the portrayals are so much from laziness as from budget constraints, and maybe story telling practicality. If she was a three-headed reptile and he was a blob of protoplasm, and the planet was nothing but gasses like Jupiter, I don't think you'd be able to do the Adam & Eve story. It would also break the budget for the season too I think.

Great work. As a kid I didn’t understand the end but the tale inspired a lifelong interest in Psychology.

Yeah, I find it a big stretch to believe this, especially the part about the law firm visiting the house every week. Lawyers aren't cheap and they have better things to do if it's pro bono. I can easily see either they'd quit coming by after the first couple weeks or so because this is stupid, or she'd take some legal action herself to end the provision. In any event, what's to stop her from just disconnecting its power or letting its battery run out? All she's required to do is take care of it. Why can't she just let it run down and put it in a safe corner somewhere.

I liked this one even if it felt a tad slow. Maybe French got obsessed with the Old Man because he saw in him something about Goldsmith that he couldn't control and therefore had to destroy. My bone to pick with this episode was the computer. You didn't show the whole scene where they all go in and wreck it, but I recall it was just a mainframe unit of some sort. How is it powered? I didn't see any generator. I assume the local power plant is out of operation. So where's the electricity coming from? And where's the lab equipment needed to test food and soil samples? I saw no facilities to test for radioactivity or anything else.
