Loved seeing how you tarot journal! Thank you for sharing. ❤
Here's my review in full: Women of Science Tarot Rating 3/5 stars The deck features delightful artwork by Matteo Farinella and a pleasing color scheme, and is also well intended but choosing a divination deck like the Waite-Smith as a model of tarot may actually reinforce stereotypes and would also likely encourage belief in pseudosciences. The deck unfortunately uses the nomenclature of the Waite-Smith deck and its ranking of Strength and Justice although some of the illustrations appear to be at least partly inspired by Marseilles style tarots. One-sided depictions of tarot as an occult practice or divinatory art common in English language media can be harmful to cultural diversity. Tarot cards are used for trick-taking games and these games are sometimes falsely associated with the occult because of such media representations. Gender stereotypes may also be perpetuated by the association of women scientists with superstition and divinatory practices. It would be better to decouple tarot from its now common association with divination which tends to stigmatize tarot and educate people on how the cards were intended for trick-taking games, a practice which continues today. A tarot purely for card play such as the French Tarot Nouveau, the Industrie und Glück Tarock, or the Tarocco Piemontese would make for a more suitable and less problematic model for science education. Although Massive Science and MIT Press label this divinatory tarot a "card game" in their promotional literature, the cards are not well designed for card play. The corner indices indicating the rank and suit of each plain suit card are on the opposite sides of each other and the tarot trumps entirely lack this feature. I also could not rate this very well as a divination deck as the back design is not entirely symmetrical which spoils the reading of reversed cards. I do find the idea, though, of relying mainly on the plain suit cards instead of the tarot trumps to present specifically the theme of women in science to be a clever workaround to circumvent some of the limitations imposed by the Waite-Smith divination model.
I have 7 Aurora kane books and looking for one more called protection magic i have read moon magic, herbal magic, crystal magic and im reading house magic
I actually hold my pen a lot like you do and tilt my paper too. I think you might have your paper a little more sideways, but not by much. Loved this video!
Thank you for sharing your tarot journaling technique. I’m looking for a way to study a tarot deck. I suppose this is a way. *new sub* ❤
im gonna ask a dumb question..is 57 to old to start learning this? im very very curious about the subject of magic (magick) ive got a desire to open my mind more..or did i just answer my question? thanks in advance
There’s definitely no age limit! If you’re curious and interested in the subject then I’d say go for it. Even just adding small magical rituals to your daily routine can make a big difference.
vanny r u here?
Would you reverse this spread if you lived in the southern hemisphere? 🤔
wow
The covers all look the same
You might be blind
In 1 book all
Hi, please can you name the book for beginners all in one
I also turn my notebooks like this when writing and my hand is placed close to the pen nib when I'm writing 😅 dont worry, you are not alone! 🫂
I will put this one on my wishlist ❤ as an italian-brazilian, i have also a strong influence from portugal and Africa ❤
All I can say is.. kitties!
What do you do when you want to exact revenge on someone and wouldn’t mind a little harm coming to them, whether financial, personal, physical.. A fellow has lied and cost me thousands of dollars. I have to have a rote back to her or I will go nuts. I am not a violent person but what she did to me both financial and emotionally is unforgivable
yes, I am interested in The Evil Eye.
I hope start to feel better , you are doing great can hear you very clear
Love the cover of the book. Can’t wait to get it.
I know this video is older but I just wanted to thank you for the review. I ordered the book and am excited to start working with it!
Welcome back to TH-cam. (I know I’m a little late at saying this.) looking forward to catching up with your videos. Your pup is adorable 😻 I’m glad he’s chilling out a bit of the cats too.
Alas it is easy to stop rambling and reduce your ums and uhs. All it will cost is wayyyy more time. I think if you want to take your production quality to the next level you should consider more scripting. Even if you don't want to go to heavily scripted content, a list of bullet points on a teleprompter could be handy. I dont think the ums are a big deal though. No filler words can make things feel robotic. I'd focus more being consise and consistent with the overall flow.
Thank you so much for this review. I have this on my reading wish list and was curious to hear more. Your review comes at exactly the right moment for me!
Thank you 😊 I’m glad you found it useful!
This looks very interesting ❤
Excellent and informative review! ❤
Aw, thank you so much! 😊
New sub, Just found you, Merry Meet! Puppies and cats figure it all out, no worries <3
I already have this book and only came to this video to find out what someone else thought about it. What a great review!
Aw, thank you so much! 😊
It started before the Tarot, each symbol existed independently & has a different genealogy, though the 7 virtues are the largest sub-group. The next largest sub-group is the 4 cards of the Emperor as Defender of the Realm (Empress) & the Pope as Keeper of the Faith (Popess), then the 3 card sub-group of the Star/s, Moon, Sun. The 2 card sub-group of the Devil (Original Sin), the Tower (Fall from Grace), & the 2 cards Judgement (Resurrection) & the World (Heaven on Earth) from Revelations.
Excellent book!!!
I've only just discovered your channel. How lovely you are. This was especially appropriate for me and I'm going to do it on this upcoming Sunday morning. I appreciate the fact that you provide detailed ingredients and substitutes. It's important to me to use what we have on hand. Well done young lady. Blessings from Arizona 💜🏜
Aww thank you so much, this is lovely to hear. 😊 I hope it all goes well for you.
What a great review. Thank you for your time and sharing of your thoughts. That's a book that will appeal to many.
Omg the cat
I really don’t get all the hate reviews this book got. I only just started but the whole idea of removing the societal washing out of the feminine is something I could always get behind.
I didn’t realise there were hate reviews?
@@OpheliaFeyre yeah on goodreads
Demi Moore does book reviews?😮 Jk. But great video, thanks.
Immediately I know a pretender. An incense blended to suit the intent. Deary, commerical artificial petrochemical based and lab cooked up perfume is not incense. Do you believe any of those sticks has any magical energy like at all?
Creating your own incense blend is probably going to be more effective, yes, however this option is not available to everyone. As for whether the incense sticks have magical energy - I believe magic is what works for the individual.
Can you please review the book of divination? There is no review on youtube and you're one of the only two videos I saw with it
Oh, I’ve been meaning to get to a review for that one for so long! Thanks for reminding me!
@@OpheliaFeyre there isnt a single review thank you 😭

Hi I just found your brilliant video review of the book. Could you say whether the Goddess Isis or Egyptian goddesses are archetypes in the stories in this book? Thank you.
Hi! Thank you so much! The stories focus on Judeo-Christian beliefs.
@@OpheliaFeyre thank you for your reply 🙂
Hahaha... Well call me weird too, 'cause I have write at an angle. Otherwise my handwriting looks weird P
Maybe…
I just started using Tarot and oracle cards. I have no idea what I’m doing so this was helpful. Your cat is adorable. 🐈⬛ Thanks so much for sharing. 😊 New sub.❤
Ah, thank you so much! I’m glad you found it useful. Good luck with your divination journey! 😊🖤
Oh my goodness, your handwriting is beautiful. Thank you for sharing
Ah, thank you. 😊🖤
Loved this. I'm going to use it.
Hi, can you help name the last 3 ingredients in spelling? I tried getting the right spelling to no avail. I need to buy pls
I'm half way in and I'm blown away.
I got this book for Christmas, can’t wait to dive in!
While the concept of that book seems interesting, the claims she makes about Witchcraft pertaining to activism is Pseudohistorical , and I wasn’t impressed by any of the excerpts I’ve seen online much less interviews with the author either. This is not to say Political Magic was never a thing, far from that and there were definitely laws regarding that before Christianity, but characterizing Witches as a nice cuddly group with only other people’s welfare in mind is very misleading.
Furthermore, Witchcraft as a movement is new, and Religious shops existed before Neopaganism. I understand the anti consumerist mindset, but as a maker of talismans I require access to physical objects I can’t get in other ways without money, and I had to buy translated Grimoires for information. The author doesn’t seem to understand not everyone grows up in spiritual households either, and I myself had to get my own candles and electric incense burners, and I don’t have the time or energy to do everything DIY.
Merry Meet - You are not alone. I always turn my pad sideways. I have a ‘color your tarot’ deck. I’ll color in the ones I draw if they are blank as part of my meditative process. Thanks for sharing. Blessings!
This deck is incredible. Accurate and I use them all the time. I love this deck
