Runner up on Idol but #1 in my eyes. Fell in love with Clay the second I heard him sing. He had my vote every week. I saw him on tour a few times right after Idol when he toured with Kelly Clarkson . Then saw him on his first solo tour a few times. I’m in PA ,near Philly, but I went to Maryland because that post concert withdrawal was strong lol. Then after my Philly show I ordered tickets for Wilkes Barre ,PA show, it was magical and something he wrote about in his book. It was when the audience sung Measure of A Man . To hear entire arena sing it was like we were all in church . Literal chills and even watching the video back years later, it comes back to me like a tidal wave……. Rambling aside, I love this man and this was such a fun interview. Proud Claymate then and now at 48 years old.
Gotta love how Junko Enoshima turned this from a therapeutic song into a trigger for Vietnam flashbacks!
