If I understand correctly, this eventually released to only the NTSC-U/C regions and not PAL?.... ✏️📌 T:AA *_did_* release with an on-screen, in-game only spider web chat system which had a myriad of phrases for call outs/ commands. Had hoped it was to get either classic USB mouse and Dualshock hybrid controls support if not at least classic PC mouse and keyboard since it was a port of Tribes 2 for PS2 and in light of those controls being proven at launch for PS2 for Unreal Tournament but, regardless, gameplay is exhilarating with a DualShock either in 3rd person or 1st person POV. 🔥👉 T:AA can be played online again via OnlineConsoles (up to 16P with bots available) and in cloud servers via TribesAerialAssault website (16P available with bots and, now, with the revived AADS - "aerial assault dedicated server" - affording changes to gameplay/ base weaponry and support to 32P in exchange for no bot support that aren't otherwise available with ~vanilla servers and bots).... ✏️📌 The in-game spider web chat and one of the Expert control button mapping options - Expert "A", IIRC, and a gamesave for Expert "B" yet to be found - are available if you can acquire one of the original gamesave files from when the AADS were online back then now available on the TribesAerialAssault website Downloads page..... ✏️📌 At the Tribes site, there are instructions for PS2, PC emulation, Xbox Series emulation and Steamdeck online setup (LAN-play network file setup isn't much different if playing offline in your own LAN - though, am unsure how that's achieved/if achievable for PC emu nor Steamdeck).... ✏️📌 Though there are a few exclusive maps that can be interesting available only in the training/ campaign (single player only), I wouldn't get accustomed to the button mapping there because it is not available for online/ LAN play and I'd say the multiplayer and offline bot play button mapping is far better, more intuitive to today's gamer..... ⏩️ ▶️ Join the Discord via TribesAerialAssault website. Always looking for "new bloods", introducing the young ones and those who otherwise hadn't been privy back when as well as getting veterans reacquainted. Plenty of videos on their YT channel for some preview of the types of gameplay and maps and, if lacking the game manual or PRIMA strategy guide, the site explains Armor weight classes, respective loadout weapons and various packs along with some passages written and YT videos uploaded for map orientations/descriptions. 👍 Looking forward to seeing you there.
