Bonjour de France ! Nice performances (piano / vocals). Sincerely.
I request "One for My Baby" by Frank Sinatra
Beautiful!
When I saw you put 10 minutes into this, I knew this would be big, so I put on my head phones. This is a terribly sad song. "Goodbye" is a sad word. When my wife goes shopping it's: "See you later." When she goes out of town with the girls for a week, it's: "Love you, see you next week." Never just: "Goodbye." "Goodbye" leaves the issue of return open - as if who knows? Maybe, maybe not? LIke it's all up to chance! It's a terribly sad word if you are in love. That said: you did the song justice. You must have practiced this song a lot. Each note sung and played seemed well and perfectly placed. You obviously put lot's and lot's of work into it.... Good job! You made me cry.
beautiful cover Jordan
Niceeeeee❤I’m from Japan! 素晴らしい声をありがとう! Thanks for the great voice.
ありがとう Icon Nico! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Very, very nice. Long phrases with great breath control. Great intonation and interpretation. Very"mature" performance. Woo!
Thanks so much, Ron!
This is nice, piano's just a bit too loud
very cool thanks for the upload
You're welcome, Andrew!
Great job 👏🏾 I would like to request "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole
Thanks, @MIGRANTMindset! I love 'Unforgettable'; it's such a pretty tune. You can have a listen to it at 35:41 in this stream: th-cam.com/video/RHiUt9WsXpw/w-d-xo.html I'll definitely be making it as a standalone video soon, though, so stay tuned!
Jordan WOW !! You got stuck in there !! Well done.
Thanks, Trev!
It does! It did! 1K, kid!
Some day - long from now - you will be standing before St. Peter and he will ask you what did you do - WHY should you get into heaven? You will be stunned by his directness, but you will pull your wits together and you'll stare St. Peter in the face and say, "Did you hear my "Georgia on My MInd?" St. Peter will blink twice, take a breath, and say, "That was you?" You'll say. "Yep!" And you'll be in!
Thanks, Ron! I really appreciate the compliment!
Great performance. When I listen to you (piano and voice), two names come to mind: Michel Legrand (pianist, composer, especially known for film music, singer, and arranger) and the talented and unforgettable Chet Baker (an exceptional trumpeter and singer with a voice that is unique in its softness, simplicity, and emotional sincerity). A "cool" jazz of great depth and quality. I encourage you (if it’s your wish…) to upload your performances to streaming platforms through a distribution service like DistroKid. DistroKid (Distribution Service) Goal: DistroKid is a music distribution service that allows you to put your music on all the major streaming platforms (including Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, TH-cam Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, and many more...). Cost: The annual subscription starts at $19.99 per year for unlimited releases (albums, singles). You keep 100% of the revenue generated from the sale and streaming of your music. Advantages: Unlimited Distribution: You can distribute as many songs, albums, and singles as you want during the year for a fixed cost. Fast and Simple: Uploading is generally very quick, often within a few days. Accessibility: You get a presence on all major streaming platforms, not just one or two. 100% of Revenue: You don’t pay any commission on your earnings. Bien cordialement.
Merci beaucoup, Audelade ! I love both Chet and Michel, and so that's such a lovely compliment! I definitely want to have some recordings on streaming services one day, so that's really good to know about DistroKid. I don't quite have the time to dedicate to making an album just yet, but it's 100% a goal for the future!
1K...J.A...YAY! 🎉🥂
Yay indeed! 🎶🎵🎉🥳
@jordanasmussen 'twas inevitable :)
Bonjour de France ! Great performance. Yes, it's a shame that the saxophone is so inaudible. Cordialement.
Merci ! Here's hoping next week we'll have the audio sorted out... 🙂
Beautiful! Really love your rendition! Feel almost melted. Chet Baker style
Thanks, Lulu! I love Chet Baker, so I really appreciate the compliment!
Bonjour de France ! Superbe jeu au piano. Châpeau bas ! 5 étoiles. Cordialement.
Merci beaucoup, Audelade !
Yo dude, I really enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
Thanks so much, Matt! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
Underrated
Thanks, Octavio!
Bonjour de France ! For me, it is with this restraint and gentleness that this song and this music must be interpreted..., to say the best and the most... Well done! Subtle interpretation! Are you on Deezer or Spotify or others? Because it's a bit of a shame to hear people talking in the background. :-) Sincerely.
Merci beaucoup, Audelade ! I really appreciate your kind words. I'm not on any other music app at the moment, but I am hoping to record some songs at home again soon, so that there won't be all that background noise. So stay tuned!
And then...and then :) Variations on a dream, nicely played with.
Thanks, Mohr Words!
Bonjour de France ! Nice interpretation. A cloud of softness. This is a change from our World today where everything is moving too fast and there are very dark clouds appearing on the horizon... … ... .... Best regard.
Merci, Audelade ! Music gives such a respite from the cares of the world, doesn't it?
Bonjour de France ! Perfect ! Regards.
Merci beaucoup, Audelade ! Même si maintenant ce n'est pas avril à Paris, pour moi c'est quand même une belle chanson 🙂
I love your voice~! <3
Love the scat solo on this, you're a huge inspiration man keep it up
Thanks, August! I used to be pretty nervous about scatting, but now I really enjoy it!
So, it should be, Whom Can I Turn To, rather than, Who Can I Turn To. *sigh*
Or, perhaps, 'to whom can I turn?' ('Ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put', and all that.) But I do suppose I'd better use the object pronoun in future, so good call!
@jordanasmussen Whom can I turn to, when nobody needs me? It sounds a bit strange, the lyrics I change, as grammar rules lead me...
😂😂😂
Great work!
Thanks, Ruth!
Bonjour de France ! Piano et voix 👍👍 Cordialement.
Bonjour d'Australie ! Je suis heureux que tu l'aies aimé.
❤ so soothing....dinning to your music is the best you make the food taste better 😊
serious talent man, so good
Thanks, Brightroot! Always nice to hear from another jazz pianist. Btw, I love your harmonies in 'Have You Met Miss Jones?'; sounding great!
@@jordanasmussen Wow thanks! I'm still new to really studying jazz so that means a lot. Keep making great music!
You have a nice tone. I think you'd sound good through an EV 676 mic. A nice crooners mic. 'bay has a good one I see : - Vintage 1960's Electro Voice 676 dynamic cardioid microphone w accessories 674 2 (I'm not affiliated in any way, just a fan of 1930's-40's music). You might like Frank Sinatra in this- *Dennis Awe: Sentimental Journey* cue at 1:39:18
Thanks, Paul! I love Frank's 'Old Man River'! It's such a great tune, and he more than does it justice. And what stunning visuals! They certainly don't make music videos like that anymore. And I'll definitely check out the EV 676. Thanks for the suggestion!
Beautiful~!!!! <3 <3 <3
Thanks, Rhubarb Pi!
I saw that you had done this video, and I liked the song, so I clicked it. As I was waiting for the video to start I started singing the song to myself. When you started to play - we were in the same key! That can only mean I have been watching you a lot!!! You the Man!!!! BTW, a suggestion: you've done "All the Things You Are" before as a quick tempo swing tune. I play it every night with my Chopin, Debussey, Schubert, Schumann and others as a slow ballad as you did with this tune. Try it sometime -- it's magical. Thanks for all you do!
Haha! That's so cool! Love the 'All the Things You Are' suggestion; I'll definitely be trying it out as a ballad soon. Stay tuned!
Beautiful 🤩
Thanks so much, Chantel!
These lyrics paint great images, don't they? ..."Like a summer, with a thousand Julys..." The ultimate torch song.
Absolutely! It's one of my favourite tunes, both lyrically and harmonically.
Gorgeous😍😍😍 Can I get sheets please😩🙏🏻
Thanks so much, Myron! I'm actually playing off something called a 'lead sheet', which has the melody written out, with the chord symbols above. So I don't have proper sheet music for this song, unfortunately. Sorry!
Lovely version!
Thanks so much, mart9125!
Request: By Myself, from The Bandwagon, and How Beautiful Is Night (there's a wonderful Sarah Vaughan recording). Chris is still difficult to hear on video.
Thanks for the requests, Mohr Words. I've added them to my list! Yeah, sorry about the audio level on the sax. I'll get it figured out soon (hopefully)!
A swell version of a great song, with a hint of "I'm Beginning to See the Light". Have you heard Cy Coleman's rendition?
Thanks, Mohr Words! I hadn't actually heard Cy Coleman's version before. Very nice!
mitico Jordan bravissimo
Grazie, Dario!
This is heavenly
Thanks, Not_your_toast!
Well done. Very nicely done indeed. Keep up the great work
Thank you, MrSpock!
Amazing performance as always. My mother and I listen to you with so much love and we thoroughly enjoy and reminisce with each other on how wonderful your voice and performance is.
Thank you so much, Maria! It's beautiful to know that you're sharing these moments and memories with your mother. How special!

very nice sir!
Thank you, David!
Love it Jordan
Thanks, Phil!
Beautiful ❤
Thanks, Chantel!
In the original lyric, the word “sealing “ is used. The great Helen Merrill replaced it with “stealing” - and many singers have imitated her.
I didn't realise that, Alex. Thanks for sharing!
Short, but sweet!
