Thanks for clearing the confusion around night fishing.
No problem! Glad it helped!
Have an 8 hour kayak float today and this is definitely going to be echoing through the valley on my Bluetooth speaker for the first hour
Guys have you heard of Lake Simcoe’s Kempafelt Kellie. Check out the Barrie Archives.
Definitely! We covered that one in episode 8
Maaaaaate! You just saved me from buying a new rod just because it wasn't balanced! Thanks brother 🤙🤙
Awesome!! 😎
I feel like the st croix legend bass for 300 is much better made in USA but who knows anyone with me ?
I have both and the legend tournaments are awesome rods but just not as balanced in my opinion
@@averageontarioanglers thank
Yoooo I love these podcasts 🔥
thanks for sharing the beaver around where i fish are aggressive sometimes they swim at the boat and slap their tails another great podcast
Can’t wait for the season(s) to get started 🎣 and the thing about beavers that always spooks me are their slaps! When you don’t know they are there, you’re relaxing in silence, and then a cannonball hits the water behind you 😂 I’ve shaken the canoe a few times jumping out of my seat. Tight lines
Good work man!
Is that the 150 or 200
150
love the AOA Q&A THANKS FOR SHARING
Awesome as usual. what size line are you using with that tube bait
❤
Are these fishes edible?
Early in the season you definitely could
@@averageontarioanglers thanks for your reply 😉
Im so glad Andrew brought up the erie feeling of being over such deep water. I thought i was the only one 😂. Like you said, you float on water but if for some magical reason you stopped floating boy its a long way down.
Haha right?! Scary thought! 💭
good podcast and I info in a sportspal I'm looking at getting the S-15 model
Nice! You’ll love it!
I wish I had have went 😢 great videos as always brother
April 6th was our trout opener in New Jersey. My buddy and I were the only ones at our spot. Only because recent rains had all the rivers and streams running pretty high lol.
Parking lots full, pools shoulder to shoulder bait fishermen, meh, I’ll pass.
Killing something for catch and release also bothers me. I thought I was the only one!
What? If you kill it, it’s not catch and release. It’s fine to kill fish, as long as you eat it.
@@stonehorn4641It’s not really fine to kill steelhead anymore. 😢
He’s talking about killing bait for catch and release not killing the fish
@@stonehorn4641 Sorry what I meant was using live bait whether it’s worms or minnows etc.
where is the oilfilter?
These small motors don’t have one
Thanks for stopping by and grabbing a few jigs Jesse & Andrew. It was nice meeting you guys 👍🏻
phenomenal video brother man! watched my buds do some end of season floating steelhead fishing yesterday and you just made it make a whole lot more sense!
It was great to be able to chat with you fellas, thank you for hanging out for a little, it means a lot. Thank you one more time for all the kind words and support, you guys are the best.
Some video of the show would’ve been nice...
Check out our Instagram …
I enjoyed being part of the entourage! Had a blast meeting so many people, the bait makers are all really passionate about their craft. Can't wait to get out on the water. Notable purchases; the Perfect Jig grab bag for $50. The @wambaitscanada hat and a selection of baits. Generation.Outdoors guys were pretty cool, nice to meet them and support some local fellas. My new Bubba 12" filet knife that will cut more smoked brisket than fish! Adam Merrifield's book Mighty Smallmouth. Already have April 6, 2025 in my calendar for Cancast '25
Definitely get your butt in some kayaks before you pull the trigger. I ultimately went with a WS Recon 120HD cause everything was out of stock 21/22. I really wanted the the Slayer Max 12 cause it’s a very versatile rig with the under stern rudder. Easy to motorized and keep the pedals functional. I got my yak from Zack at Frontenac, he’s awesome, helped me through a warranty claim and everything. Plus if you go out to Frontenac there’s more bodies of water than you know what to do with.
Being from New Jersey I don’t see myself there anytime soon unfortunately. Love seeing footage of the show and love the podcast! Been a fan since day one. Use a lot of your tips for fishing down here and being a don’t have a boat an a very average guy this podcast is very relatable. I’m a very average joe in the hunting world as well.
2024 can cast was AMAZING got to meet so many great people including Andrew 😅 will definitely be back for 2025, congrats Jesse on the 10year anniversary keep up the great work boys .....100 perfect hahaa 😂
Great show, always a pleasure to chat with you guys! Bigger and better next year for WamBaits!
sounds like you had a great time. thanks for sharing. love seeing what you got at the show. you're a man after my own heart with the st croix rod and Shimano reel. those baits look awesome.
I'm not biggest fan of fishing streamers on a fly rod but I think it would apply here.
another great podcast . thanks for sharing . been finesse fishing for most of my life it gets it done.
Can't wait to get out too the lake love using craws in Huron salute
Can’t wait to get on the water. Keep casting the fish snacks. AOA 🇨🇦
are most of em 1 piece and the longer variants 2 piece?
Most of them are 2 piece. Only 2-3 models are 1 piece actually. Two piece rods are super popular in this price point so I’m glad they are offering a series with many 2 piece options
Another great podcast
Thanks frank!
Pod cast listed done, finished the TH-cam video done 😅...great as always , and Wes it the man!! Cant wait for can cast LETS GOOOOO!!! see you boys there
thanks for sharing . another great podcast. love to support the little guys they need to grow too!
Gotta watch this, so I can see the visuals that I missed from the podcast! I’ll have to come to Cancast because Wambaits is sold out.
Definitely! He’s bringing all the goods to cancast! I’m sure his website will be up and running again after show season
I have listened to the audio only version, and now I will watch this!
Lets go happy easter guys love the podcast keep it up!
Happy Easter
Enjoy your time off!!
I went back to the reading of the vendor list and played it at 2x playback speed. Epic! 😂
Dang that’s fast!!
This was a blast you guys, thanks for having me on!
If was our pleasure wam
Very interesting! Never heard of this before.
I have a 12 ft Sportspal canoe. would the wide transom model be noticeably more stable?
I’ve fished from both and honestly the extra length doesn’t add much stability. The added space is better for two people and camping but other then that they are both stable as heck
@@averageontarioanglers I think he is asking if the wide transom is that much more stable compared to the pointed or square stern and not so much the length of the canoe. I was wondering the same thing so I thought I'd jump in and ask. Can you paddle the square stern? Thanks and excellent channel with great info
@philipmelo1786 hey, yeah definitely the full transom is way more stable but it becomes more of a thin boat at that point and less like a canoe so it is difficult to paddle. If you’re looking to paddle and motor I’d get the small square back, not the full transom. The pointed models are incredible stable though for what they are
@@averageontarioanglers how is it having the trolling motor beside you on the pointed canoe versus behind you on the transom or square stern? I assume there are advantages and disadvantages to both? I don't plan on paddling it and like the idea of a trolling motor to scoot around so either the wide transom or square stern would be better options for me. Thanks
@philipmelo1786 side mounted is never ideal but it works. If you plan on using it with the trolling motor and not paddling, I would definitely get the flat back or the wide transom definitely.
Is that Suzuki a long or short shaft?
This is the short shaft
imo, i ride jet skis with my older brother and we fish all the time(we live very clod to the beach) and honestly. yall can just suck it up cuz were probably having more fun than you💀
