My door was in such bad shape I was sure it needed replaced, but it’s near impossible to find a competent contractor. This was the perfect solution. In less than 15 minutes my door went from sagging so bad it wouldn’t close to working perfectly. It was so easy to install. Thank you . For all the naysayers who have not used this stop dissing the product. It works.

You can also use 1/2 all thread and make a angle stop at the top with a piece of angle steel.. think about it

Question: If the gate is wrapped outward 2” at the bottom and inward at the top, does the deflection bend née to be in the same direction as pointed out in the video?

Hi. We just installed a vinyl fence & the double gates were installed today. We are having an issue with saggin, as each gate is 6' wide. There is an "X" brace on each individual gate but it still touches at the top where they meet in the middle. The funny thing is, we actually put a 2.5" x 2" piece of wood inside the vinyl post (this is how much room was available inside the post after the panels are installed) on the outside edge of each gate hoping the weight would help hold it up better. Now, believe me, I think it does help (and so does my builder) but I am not happy that they still touch slightly at the top, which make me feel like it's sagging (the bottom is spaced correctly). I have OCD & if I think about it much (which I am) it is driving me crazy so I am currently scouring the internet trying to find a solution to make it better. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!!

I just put a small wheel on mine when it was built, problem gone for the life of the fence...

How about a threaded rod? Costs about $15.00 including hardware.

You mounted the cross brace the wrong way. It's supposed to be on a vehicle leg out to the swing of the gate for support.

Point still stands, making a gate is an art form. Source: worked as pest control 5 years. I think you really need some structure, there is 0 triangulation in that gate. Lags need to go into the actual cross beams, not with a slat in there that dries up and lets the hinge go loose. Ideally a welded triangulated structure with some heavy duty greased hinges.

Also reason price is so high is because it's a rush or the company won't replace just one chain and wants to do them all.

In my tool box I keep about 8 link plates and a couple grade 8 pins, a grinder and 20ish mins I'll be good to go. I work in a junk yard and this happens frequently, there are 20 forklifts of all different makes mine is a yale so I keep what i need to fix small stuff. There are no spare lifts, so if you break yours you are SOL if you cant fix it.

So like, you want a PIT operator to void the warranty, the maintenance contract your company has, accept personal liability for any other fault on the PIT, and perform a "repair" they are neither certified, trained, nor equipped to do? If you want it cheaper man than order the chain link repair kit for your chain and link size. Then fix it yourself. They want 2000. 1200 for service. 300 parts and labor. I am a certified smart person. Stop posting because you broke something and you're worried you're gonna get fired.
