Not sure what that engine is supposed to sound like but what a cool piece of history! Kinda sounds like someone on life support. Lol
Hi I have B&S 1937 washing machine replacement engine and need to find a carburtor for it, will parts; can you tell me where I may be able to fine the parts . it looks just like the one you have on your unit.
You need to shut the fuel down a little more, retard the timing and choke it

Problem is people will still enter a property regardless what a sign says. Even those signs that say you will be shot. People just don't care. I don't understand why people. Ant just follow directions. It's not hard. The only ones who can get away with not following directions all the way through are those with adhd add and other neuro issues, most do follow directions for the most part. Just boils down to people suck and don't care

ok, several issues. It is NOT a hit and miss engine. Its firing every cycle like a throttle governed engine. Two, that is no where near 80 rpm. more like 200+ rpm. I am honestly surprised that WM carb has enough fuel going through it to make it fire at all, it has to be running lean. That carb is for a 1/2 horse engine.

I was wondering who would notice that that is not a true hit and miss engine some people are even calling the Maytag single a hit and miss it is not it is a two-stroke with a variable flyweight ignition timing as a throttle and it's got fixed gas but anyway this engine is not hit Miss I can see it with the valve cover springs and other things it's a cool engine nonetheless
Give it some air you can't choke a wmb that much LOL I think you've taken the crankcase covers off of an older engine and made you a custom something,, good job but you need to tell the truth about the engine and what you modified on it.
I like the engine, but it's not a hit-n-miss engine, it's throttle governed - mainly by having such a small carburetor.
Yes I know but the mixer has nothing to do with being a hit and miss. I had to have something on the title, had I called it a Justin Bieber engine it would have gotten 200,000 hits in the first week.

Nothing like 80rpm - it's varying but not going below 120rpm, and usually nearer 140rpm.

Sorry the Fordson is yard art as it has been sitting in that spot for almost forty years. The Fairbanks Z has since moved up in world and is now bolted to a stump, my wife plants flowers in every spring as she does with the other planter engines that I have.

160rm. Hate to be pedantic, but as it's a four stroke and I can count just over one pop a second (and I can see the valves doing that rate too), then the flywheel is doing twice that, so 160 not 80 rpm. Bewitching little motor.. love these videos.
Yes I know it needed to be warmed up first and tenement messed with in regards to the timing and fuel mixture, it had none of that,for example in the background there is a 15 h.p. Reid, at the national show in 2008 it won the tick over in that h.p. class which if memory serves was 43 rpm nun at unofficially I had it down to 32 rpm, again messing around with the fuel and air this engine will run a lot slower. Thank you
@@brianedwards4441 Its also not a hit & miss. This is a flywheel engine sure, but I hear it firing every time. Now it may be that it simply never got going fast enough to latch out, but a hit & miss will eventually latch out the exhaust and coast while breathing.
