Needs more splash cymbal! But seriously, I'm glad we got to at least experience a distinct era of music that wasn't a form of hip hop or whatever pop? Now that I think about it, were we the last generation to grow up during a metal era of any sort? Btw I do not hate hip hop and I actually like quite a few sub-genres of it although I really only listen to it when other people are playing it. Just didn't want to seem like I was trying to start a "this music better" kerfluffel

damn... myspace core is THE BEST, but i'll admit it that i'm a sucker for old school roots bands of deathcore, for the likes of Apathemy, Far From Forgiven, Reaching From End, Sever The Fallen... it's the best imo and nobody talks about this bands So fucking good, melodeath riffs with breakdonws and shit

Man, MySpace deathcore breakdown compilations in the year of our lord 2024, this is so beautiful ❤️ I don't know if you ever came across my old MySpace era band Buried Beneath The Ashes when doing your digging but we recently started making new music for the first time in about 15 years, doing our part to bring back the old ways, all our shit is on Spotify including the old 07-08 stuff if you feel like checking it out. We were pretty active in the uk back in the day and did a bunch of shows with dudes like Portmortem Promises, The Boy Will Drown, The Argent Dawn, The Eyes Of A Traitor and Annotations Of An Autopsy in and around London Keep doing the lords work with these compilations bro!

They are my favorite modern deathcore band right now! Their 2 EPs are ridiculous. Beaten Beyond Recognition is one of the heaviest songs I've heard. Sooo good. Anyone who likes the old era can appreciate the sound they bring to the table

A good amount of these (not all) are on TH-cam under the "Slaughtered" YT channel or available on the "Victims Of Brutalness" blogspot to download. If on neither, I listen on bandcamp, TH-cam or I find download links on the internet. It can take time to find download links for some of these albums/EPs/demos etc. but it's worth it for me!
Some are on streaming though, off the top of my head, The Yellow Sign, Float Face Down, Her Demise My Rise, Shot Down Sun, Of Buried Hopes, A Breath Before Surfacing, Lady Musgrave, and more are on streaming just to name a few
